Been to Jon at Pybus Opticians twice now with my wife and our 6 year old boy, Sometimes you just meet people whom are perfect for certain roles and Jon is one of them. His manor in how he interacted with our lad was just perfect. Professional, engaging and made the examination into what I would describe as a fun challenge so my child was completely engaged and happy to follow his instructions. If you want to go to an Opticians for yourself or a child this is where you need to go and it's a family run practice so money staying in the community

Myself and my family have been using Pybus Opticians for over 2 years now and been very satisfied. Jon even replaced my wife's frames within a week when they were eaten by our dog! Great service I can highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing quality of service from the team at Pybus Opticians. From the door to the chair - as it were.I had to conduct a Hue arrangement test for the Army, and a lot of my local opticians said they could conduct the test, but it would transpire that they could only do an Ishihara plate test.However, the team at Pybus Opticians confirmed they could perform the test, and due to my previous experiences with other practices, I tried to confirm what the test would involve before I turn up, and they were able to concisely convey that they understood the request I had, and true to their word, I left having done the correct test (just to underline their level of service, I actually had a 2nd test performed just to make my case even stronger on the report) and a report was written up very efficiently for the Army.They not only did what they promised, but they helped me move on to the next step in my future career. This literally was a life changing experience for me.Thank you.

Polly, the Optometrist was very thorough, friendly and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. The practice has a downstairs consulting room which is convenient when you’re in your 90s. The ladies on the desk made me feel very welcome. Jo.

This is an excellent optician. My eye test was carried out with care and precision and I was kept informed throughout all parts of the process. The range of frames available is fairly good and my glasses were ready for pick-up earlier than expected. I wanted a specific design for my additional pair of sunglasses and they were very helpful in arranging for this to be sent down to the shop for me to try, with no obligation to buy. I found the staff in the shop most friendly and competent. I am entirely satisfied with all aspects of the experience.

I had a fantastic experience at Pybus Opticians. My eye-test was easy and Jon explained everything he was doing in a very down to earth manner that I easily understood. Sarah was just brilliant as she helped me select glass frames that suited me perfectly, then explained the different lenses I could have and the best ones for me. Picked up my glasses today and I don't think the team there know what an important day this was for me. I LOVE my new glasses. For 20+ years I've had contacts and laser because I hated wearing glasses. Turns out I didn't hate wearing glasses I hated the glasses I was wearing.The lady who did my eye test was great, with a wonderful funny and gentle manner. Then the lady who helped me select a new pair was so thorough and, although I did pick the pricey pair in the end, did no obvious upselling. She really listened to what I liked and didn't, gave great feedback and today I've picked up the glasses of my dreams, after just a week.First time using Pybus as I wanted to use a local indie opticians. Did not dissapoint.

I had a fantastic experience at Pybus Opticians in Canterbury. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff were kind and courteous, and ever willing to listen.Jon, the optometrist, was excellent in supporting me pre and post cataract surgery. He made me feel comfortable and took plenty of time explaining whilst testing my eyes. He also gave me good advice on how to take good care of my eyes.A big thank you to a great team!

Brilliant service as usual. During my retinal scan Jon noticed a potential problem and decided to refer me to an ophthalmologist just to be on the safe side. The hospital ophthalmologist did a couple of more scans and the problem is not progressing so that was good news, and I was grateful for Jon's cautious approach. Apart from that, the woman who helped me choose my glasses was similarly meticulous in her job, taking her time to make sure that the frames were suitable for me and that I was satisfied with them. I will definitely be returning at regular intervals in the future.
