The Old Inn & Waterfront Bunkhouse
Stayed there for 2 nights during a Scotland holiday. Had a nice and clean room at the lodge. Breakfast was ok but the bar meals in the evening were way better. Busy charming pub with lots of character and a very nice view. The whole team was friendly and I had a very nice chat with one of the residents. Authentic music in the evening as a traditional session with nine musicians took place. Such a great experience to remember.It's probably the best pub in Carbost...

Review is relative to pub only as we did not stay at the Inn. My mother and I were happy to find this pub near to our accommodations, however. The atmosphere was perfect and the food delicious. Staff friendly and attentive. Exactly what we were looking for!

Incredible pub on the Isle of Skye. Great food. Vegan options. Cider on tap. Extensive drink menu. Good prices. Lovely views. Great atmosphere and we got lucky with some live music.Service was also amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better vibe when searching for a truly authentic Scottish experience.

Popped in for dinner with some tour guests. Knew we would have a wait but happily sat outside with a drink. Staff were great and food...even better. Wonderful location, service, quality food and the staff kept a very busy bar and restaurant happy. Well done.

We found this place by chance early in our Scotland trip. It seemed to fit the bill nicely as we were eager to enjoy a local Scottish pub.Atmosphere was good and there were certainly some locals enjoying the night which added to the enjoyment. The mushroom soup was fantastic (if you aren't a fan of mushrooms, don't let that dissuade you as so am I). I had the fish and chips that was good but not memorable.My biggest complaint really is the service. Our multiple waitresses barely paid us mind. They took our order, delivered drinks and food, but other than that, generally ignored us to the point we had to actively seek them out for drink refills, dessert, and eventually the check. I would have chalked it up to their general personalities, but I saw them being congenial to other tables around us...perhaps because we weren't locals?

We were staying in Elgol for the week and having visited the Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle, wanted to stop somewhere for a late lunch. Despite arriving just before the kitchen closed, we were warmly welcomed. We ordered a couple of drinks - my wife had the mussels, which she said were delicious and I had the vegetable curry which was superb. Delicious food and great service at a bargain price!

Didn’t stay in the rooms, but we ate here two nights in a row. Huge portions, homey feel, excellent food.Haggis, fish and chips, and the two soups we had were perfect- best(and biggest) fish & chips i’ve ever had. The wings were a bit vinegary, but it was served on a bed of greens so the sauce sort of acted as a vinaigrette, not sure if that was intentional.

One of the best pubs I’ve been to. Friendly, chatty local patrons. The staff are wonderful fun and ready to welcome visitors. The food is fantastic- had a great burger.There is live music during the week and over the weekend.I was devastated to not be able to go back when I left Skye.I’ll def go back just to go back here

Popped in hungry after a long drive. Got seated quickly on a Friday night with fast and friendly service. Food was top notch! Unexpected gem in the heart of Skye. The pumpkin soup was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The smoked haddock chowder was also creamy deliciousness. The venison casserole on special was tender and flavorful. The pizza was also surprisingly good, better than we get in our area of England!

This place will hold a special place in my memories of our visit to Scotland. The food was great, I think the fish and chips were some of the best i have ever had in my life. The staff was friendly and attentive in spite of being super busy. Although we didn't have reservations, we were seated and served, but they accept reservations. After about 4:30 p.m., it really got busy and some people had to stand and wait.We were so fortunate to be there when there was live music. It was fantastic! We stayed for over 2 hours and hated to leave. If you can, try to be there when there is music.
