Great North Dental Care

Still a decent dental surgery although my treatment always seems to be done by a dental nurse or technician nowadays. (I can’t remember the actual title, sorry).In the good old days, you’d see one dentist for everything.My teeth aren’t in the best condition which is entirely my fault and I really would like them worked on by a proper dentist rather than a lower level one. No offence intended and the care is still adequate but if I’m paying one set level for work, I’d rather have that work done by one set level of ability, that being a dentist. Maybe there should be a tiered pricing system which customers can choose from, with a reduced rate for dental nurses/technicians doing the work, with the customer making the decision on what they want.I must add, I’d still pay the top rate to have the dentist work on my teeth.Anyway that’s my main gripe with my last two visits, the work being delegated to lower levels.If I take my car for a service I expect an experienced mechanic to carry out the work, not the valeter. If it is someone else doing it, the price should reflect that.Thanks, Mark Watson.

Professional,caring treatment as always from the dentist and nurse - Thankyou .However it was agreed that I would wait at reception , for next appointment, but had to ask why it wasn’t happening . Nurse obviously clearing up but my appointment date was secondary . Not professional.

Claire is a premier league dentist. Top of her game. I enjoy my visits to the dentist which is a ridiculous thing to say. Friendly, professional and a good laugh..

As a nervous customer I was really impressed how Hannah put me at ease. She offered pain relief before cleaning my very sensitive teeth. Her manner was calm and friendly and I felt she understood my nervousness. Thanks again.

Traveled from Blyth for 1.30 appointment and arrived at 1.20 but found door locked, after ringing bell receptionist informed me that that the door is locked until 1.30. Sat in car and waited for school to open. Once inside found the dentist very attentive and professional.

We have been with this practice for quite some time, in fact through two changes of ownership. We found Simon Taylor to be excellent, and we are very pleased that his previous level of service has certainly continued with Claire, who we both see.Everyone in the practice has been friendly and accommodating as well as being very efficient. The fact that private treatment can now be provided alongside NHS services is something that we have welcomed and have taken advantage of.We've always regarded noting appointments on a calendar as our responsibility, but e-mail reminders are still appreciated. The arrangements during building work have not bothered us in the least; they are, after all, temporary.

Long time customer, but first time with this dentist. Excellent bedside manner, listened to concerns, advised what would be done today. Thoughtful conversation of recently illness. Agreed date for return for treatment.

Great service as usual from dentist Claire. I had 2 fillings done in the same session. Claire is very easy to talk to, very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. With her I'm not scared of any procedures . Amazing. Thank you so much

The dentist I see at the practice has a lovely, friendly manner and puts you at ease straight away. Her dental assistant is also really pleasant and professional. I was seen in a refurbished treatment room. Bright and modern. Not sure about the TV on the ceiling but everything else is great!
