Alpha Veterinary Centre

Very poor experience with my family's pets. One cat died last year and it took over an hour for someone to answer the phone and to come to the door. The other cat has died today and again, no one answering the phone, no one answering the door, and has a closed sign up with no opening or closing hours noted. Definitely wouldn't recommend this vet practice.

I’m absolutely disgusted by the lack of service and empathy towards my Mum - you want an urgent/emergency appointment for your elderly dying cat - unable to get through on the phone, you’ve been trying all day because they never answer it - and have to leave an answerphone message - no one gets back to you so you go to the surgery absolutely distraught and begging them to see your cat to be offered an appointment for Friday - today is Tuesday !!!!Luckily we have managed to find a professional and compassionate vet who not only treated my mum with kindness, even apologised for the treatment or lack of that Alpha Vets gave us, but also helped Freddy cross over the rainbow bridge peacefully.

My insurance company been requesting they return my claim form,they take the money from you quick enough=(

Beyond disappointed with this service. Been a patient here for years now and yesterday I turned up for my appointment and the doors were locked, reception lights were off, closed sign was on. I still knocked anyway, but not answer so I called and got no answer. I texted asking for an explanation and to my surprise this morning I was accused of not turnrning up?! I've been worried sick about my dog because he's been throwing up and diarrhoea. I would never and have never not turned up without informing a vet first. I've been calling today to resolve the issue properly with no joy. Very unprofessional.

No on answers the phone you get a message to text a mobile number they still don't reply only reply when another vets request your pets history and then the text is passive aggressive and then it took 2 hours and 45 mins from thw time I text themWould not recommend this vets at all not the 1st time I've had problems with this vets either

Unfortunately the parent company of this vets based in Southport, Acacia, have behaved totally unprofessionally. I had an insurance claim for my pet, using them as a temporary practice, submitted the paperwork timeously and have not had one phonecall text or any sort of message acknowledging receipt of paperwork to submit to my insurer. I paid in full for treatment and they should have then forwarded paperwork to insurers for my reimbursement. This was back in June and still nothing. Think before using this practice.....

I have been bringing my cats here for many years. The service is excellent and very professional. All the staff have a good attitude towards the animals, well done.

Have been trying to contact this vet all day. Got a number to text. Sent text in the morning. All day no reply. Had a walk to the vets. lights on. Knocked door no reply. Called number on the door. was told to go online and book an appointment. Eleven years later and there is no change at this vets. My Maincoon had to be put to sleep as the vet at this vets Alpha vets in Layton did not know how to empty a cats bladder. Know they do not know how to reply to a text they asked for. All i can say. I will never ever go to Alpha vets for any help i need for my animal. A far better and kinder vet just beside Stanley Park. You call gets redirected only to be told book an appointment on line. They do not care for animals. They do care about the money. On the phone message they make it loud and clear they want payment at treatment. Says it all. The place is still as dirty as it was years ago.
