I could not be happier with the ‘L’ shaped desk I ordered from AKD Furniture. I initially dealt with Andy who went through all the options with me (dimensions, colour, handle finish, leather etc) and he was excellent in ensuring I had the final designs of a desk that was to my specification. He sent out colour samples on a number of occasions and when I decided on the right colour, he had technical drawings put together for me to sign off on. There was a longer-than-usual wait from when I signed off on the drawings to taking final delivery of the desk (due to Christmas holidays and shipping logistics) but Isobel was EXCELLENT in keeping me updated on timings and eta of the desk to arrive. She even sent me tracking details so I could see the progress of the shipment at all times. Such a nice touch! It was 100% worth the wait. The desk is PERFECT and I couldn’t be happier with it. The finish is beautiful and the dimensions are spot on. It is very solid and sturdy as it’s made from mahogany. Unfortunately I scratched the desk (my fault) and I contacted Isobel to find out if there was a touch up stain I could get from AKD. The next day, at my door was a complete wood touch-up kit. Overall the service and the product are perfect. The price is way below anything else on the market for this type of custom-made desk. Thank you to Andy and Isobel. I've ordered several pieces of furniture from AKD furniture in a last few years and I can't stop admiring them. None of the items have had cracks or bugs or anything to disappoint me during this time. Starting from the very first display unit I was impressed with a quality and beauty of this mahogany furniture and great service received. Many of the items have been manufactured with bespoke sizes to fit properly in available space, and every time communication during ordering process and final result we're at the highest standards possible. Delivery takes time, but you get furniture guaranteed to attract compliments from your guests as nothing can be compared with a beauty of natural solid mahogany. Pricing policy is very reasonable as well: I've checked plenty of other companies and failed to find similar items cheaper. Overall, great furniture and great service, I only regret that there is no much space left in my house for buying something new :).

My wife and I were looking for some new wardrobes to replace some built-in wardrobes that were installed in our bedroom when we bought our home and that we did not like very much. We had tried to find something suitable in furniture shops in London, but couldn't find anything to fit the bill. The room has high ceilings and the built-in wardrobes were tall with 2 levels of hanging rails - I wanted to replace them with something with similar storage capacity, but it was hard to find anything suitable.I found AKD with a web search, looked at their website to find a design we liked, and contacted them to ask if it could be made in the dimensions we wanted and at what cost. AKD quoted me a price for an extra-high 3 door wardrobe which was similar to prices we had seen for a standard height 2 door wardrobe, so we decided to go for it and ordered 2 of them. AKD sent us some designs to approve, and after a little refinement we approved the design and it was sent off for manufacture.The only criticism we have of AKD is the length of time it took. We were prepared for a wait of 4 months, but it actually took 5.5 months until the wardrobes were delivered and assembled. I understand that AKD misjudged the delivery times and volumes for Christmas and our order had been caught up in that, and AKD did do their best to get things moving as quickly as possible, upgraded us to white glove delivery, and generally kept us informed as to the status of the order. I hope that they have learned from this and adapted their processes accordingly - I'm not going to reduce my rating due to this because we now have two great wardrobes that will last for years, and the extra 6 weeks we spent waiting for them will fade into insignificance quickly enough.The wardrobes themselves are great. They have a really high quality feel to them, they match the designs we agreed on completely, and they are exactly what we wanted. I would certainly recommend AKD to anyone looking for good furniture at a reasonable price.

My new desk is exactly what I wanted, and exactly what I ordered. We made a couple of adjustments and it's perfect. Desk has a nice finish and it's solid. Delivery time was lengthy, but fully explained and therefore expected. Isobel and Andy kept me informed throughout. Great experience - happy to order from you again. SPC.

I approached AKD with a sketched design for some sideboard cabinets. Thought it may be a challenge as I had based the design on a George Nakashima cabinet and also wanted some hand-engraved pattern work. Andrew was extremely helpful. He provided a lot of sensible advice and helped take this through to complete specification drawings. It was made in Indonesia and I was sent interim photos during build. We took some time over stains. There was a point where I was a little concerned by the final photos that the stain was not correct. However the photos were taken with artificial light (makes the stain looks more yellow then it is) and the the true stain is perfect. Delivered without any problems. Cabinets look wonderful. Particularly pleased about the care taken in the engraved work and overall finish. Great value for what you are paying. Very straightforward to deal with. Trustworthy. Would happily recommend.

I ordered a four poster bed from AKD and I was slightly sceptical because of the low price compared to others I had looked at but I thought it was worth the gamble. When it arrived I was absolutely astounded at the quality. The way it is constructed and materials used are first rate. The folks at AKD were great to deal with and helped advise with colour choice to get the effect I was looking for. It’s a long lead time of 16 weeks from order to delivery but wow it’s definitely worth the wait. I have now ordered a another bed. In summary great service, fantastic product at an unbelievable price!

The quality of the furniture is outstanding! And great value too. Beautifully crafted, sturdy, practical, elegant and stylish. I was particularly impressed by the ability to modify the standard designs to meet my own particular requirements. A great experience from initial contact through to unwrapping the beautiful furniture on delivery.

This is a very professional company which supplies amazing quality furniture. The furniture that we purchased was this beautiful table and chairs. I was very impressed with the communication as it takes a bit of time to have the furniture on site. The delivery team was very helpful and professional. They showed me how to operate the table in case we need it take down for our events. I will definable recommend them to any other company without any hesitation. Definitely worth the money!
