Westcliff Hard is like a family!An amazing community of players, from beginner to high standards of all age groups. With 7 full courts and 2 mini courts complete with floodlighting, why play anywhere else?I can confidently say it has the most comprehensive and progressive junior section in the area, as I have been a part of it from age 7-18 and spend as much time at the club as possible! There are multiple stages of the junior coaching system at the club, catering to kids of all age groups, abilities and personalities. The friendly coaches and assistants team work together to make fun and inclusive lessons for all kids.The adult section is just as full of opportunities, offering organised social play at multiple times in the week, to fit with the diverse schedules of players. There are also local league and county teams which have fixtures throughout the year, perfect for anyone who fancies a bit of competitive in tennis. Aside from organised play, the club is open every day of the week for whenever you fancy a hit.Best club in the area, no doubt about it!

Both of my boys thoroughly enjoy playing at Westcliff Hard. It has a friendly family atmosphere, well maintained courts and clubhouse, and a garden which is lovely in summer and sheltered in the winter. The group sessions with Paul (their tennis coach), as well as the individual lessons, are always such good fun for the children, and very reasonably priced. Thank you Westcliff Hard!

Westcliff Hard is a wonderful tennis club.Our whole family of varying age and ability absolutely love coming here.The club has such a friendly and safe feel to it. The rusty rackets programme is very welcoming and great fun.What’s especially lovely about this club is the amount of involvement for juniors. The mini courts are a brilliant place to start tennis. With group and one to one coaching which is always brilliant. The junior morning and pay and play all add to the great atmosphere and make it such a great place to play tennis.The group coaching and individual coaching with Graham, Paul, Tracy and Jo is brilliant and ensures that whatever your age and ability you will be in great hands!We love having Westcliff Hard so close to home!

Such a wonderful environment for both children and adults. We spend a lot of time at Westcliff Hard! The coaching is superb and there are opportunities to play whatever your tennis ability. I would echo the other comments about the Club having a family feel. It's really inclusive and I would highly recommend.

I started to play tennis 3 years ago when I retired from my full time job. I had individual lessons and then was introduced to a lovely group of people in Graham’s Coffee Morning Tennis group on Mondays and have made some wonderful new friends and enjoy playing tennis most midweek mornings with them. Well kept courts and very friendly and helpful environment. Great fun and great way to learn new skills and keep fit.

This is a very friendly and relaxed club. A real strength is that children of all abilities are welcomed and encouraged. Paul makes sure that lessons are tailored to each child’s needs so that they can enjoy tennis and progress at their own rate. Lessons are very good value for money too.

Great place to work and play.Joined as a playing member over 10 years ago and was included straight away.Lots of opportunities to play all depending on appetite for matches/ playing regardless of ability (Rusty Rackets, Social, Team Tennis, High level competition), there is a team or group of players you can join in with and be a part of.Social Tennis is very popular and vibrant. The club prides itself on being very robust with majority of players playing all year round regardless of weather. Team matches are greatly supported by members.On coaching front I feel there is great opportunities for juniors of all ages to play and enjoy whilst learning. The unique mini courts specifically for the 4 to 8 year olds are a great addition before progressing to the full courts.I particularly like that Westcliff Hard is development club and looks to keep all players within and part of the club for as long as they want to play Tennis (hopefully for life), regardless of ability (this is shown in different generations of members). However all the while having proven track record of a number of years for developing and guiding performance players further and helping them along their Tennis journey as required.Adult Coaching provided and tailored to all standards be it to improve for your friendly fours or for small details to improve technical aspects of game for higher level matches.All in all happy to be part of the club. I came for a single lesson 10 years ago and been there ever since.

Excellent club for people of all ages. Super inclusive and fun. Parents are also welcome even if they are not players as it is very social.

Fantastic, well run, family oriented club that makes everyone welcome what ever their standard. Novice, beginner, rusty racket or advanced player you will be made to feel at home.Great coaches with time for you at any level and well attended social nights gives you a strong sense of belonging.All ages are welcome and as a parent, the overwhelming feeling of safety for the children is very important and reassuring.The choice of 7 courts and a booking system ensures you do not have to wait and can plan your matches / knocks to suit.Can’t wait to get back and play again once allowed!
