Tamar Vets Bude

I have been using this vet’s for years .I booked an appointment for my very nervous dog at 9 o’clock we had agreed for his annual jab to be done in the car , he was getting more and more anxious after 10 minutes I went in and was told it’s only 10 minutes late , 9.25 still no sign of a vet at this point I went in and told them I was done.What is the point of making an appointment and where is the care for the dog .This is not the first experience like this at Tamar vets !!!On a more positive note I have now been to Penbode and the care and support they gave my dog was outstanding. Should have left ages ago!!

Our dog's muzzle swelled up after we had been visiting Bude. As we were on holiday we rang and Tamar vets booked her in and saw her quickly and efficiently. The staff very extremely friendly and helpful and I couldn't recommend them enough, an example of how a small pet vets should be run

On holidays and needed to see a vet for my elderly Collie. Not only did I get in straight away for a non urgent appointment (unheard of back home) but Richard was absolutely brilliant and my dog trusted him - a first! Highly recommended for anyone in the area who needs a first class vet practice. Thank you.

We were referred to Tamar Vets for our pet whippet Magda to see a cardiologist. We have been 3 times to see Richard and he has shown knowledge and professionalism when treating her. We have been very happy with the service provided by all at Tamar Vets, Bude.

This has to be one of my best vet experiences in the last 18 years. I was walking the SW Coast Path when my Springer Bart became very ill - after a fair bit of panic, we were seen on an emergency appt (on a Saturday!) by Richard Gale. If I had to choose a vet for my dog in an emergency - I'd be hard pushed to choose between this man and Noel Fitzpatrick! Richard listened intently to everything I relayed to him, questioned where he thought appropriate and gave us - and Bart - his full attention for about 30 minutes. We left Bart at the Surgery with Richard and Georgia - and about 4 hours later we were given a full break-down of Bart's issue (enlarged prostrate). Richard explained the issue in layman's terms and provided all options for treatment and a path forward for Bart's recovery. I'm very happy to say that Bart has already perked up and is now booked in with his own vet back in Rutland for ongoing treatment. Thank you Richard - I really thought I was going to lose Bart. Your professional knowledge, confidence, calm manner and overall conduct turned what was potentially my worst nightmare into a very memorable experience. Also, thank you Georgia, for the PetsApp and for keeping me updated.

The vets was the last place I wanted to visit on holiday,but we did.Bobby our dog got very ill on our first day of our holiday so we phoned up Bude vets Tamar They opend up just for us ,They were fantastic to us he gave us some options and we knew what we had to do .We spent time with him saying our goodbyes we could take our time no hurry.We call the vet in he talked through what would happen we were so upset as you can emagin.He came back in and we said goodbye with a heavy heart.Tamar vets aware very professional but with sympathy to They arranged a cremation contact for us and we could go straight there.Without Tamar Vets I don't think me or my husband could have made it that day without there help.I would recommend Tamar Vets to anybody that needed a great vets in Bude Cornwal

Whilst on holiday I called for an emergency appointment for my dog who was constantly chewing his foot making it bleed .Even though i wasnt registered the receptionist got me in that day and the vet was so kind and gentle when handling him. Far nicer than my vet back home and much cheaper too !

Lovely team at Tamar. Called for an appointment for our beagle and they arranged it and got all previous history from our vets, as we are on holiday.Saw the patient and confirmed diagnosis and provided meds. Calm and reassuring for a nervous hound. Great team! Thank you to all at Tamar Bude

The receptionists, vets and nurses are all professional and very friendly. It is easy to get a same-day appointment for an emergency, and the practice is very accommodating in this respect.
