Great place for kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding or just a dip in the lake. Parking available at £5/day. Fishing is also possible on the lake, buy day permit from the parking vending machine (£5/day).

We usually avoid Llyn Tegid - the Welsh name - as locals, in the holidays. If the sun is shining and even when it's not, it's usually heaving.However, the kids loved it despite the rocky shallows and messed around in the water for hours. The atmosphere was very jolly.And the view is probably one of the best in the world!

Beautiful place, parking not bad for a whole day, if you like open water and sports it is a great place, and equipment available to hire, though not sure on the prices

A family favourite. Great facilities and a beautiful place.Parking (cashless) is now £5 all day so a little expensive if you arrive late afternoon although someone leaving might be considerate and give you their ticket.Book online in advance for kayak hire as it can get very busy in summer.

Bala Adventure and Watersports Centre
Brilliant morning kayaking and paddle boarding, under the expert and excellent guidance of Dan from Devon.Dan was the nicest of people and showed genuine interest in all our party. He was very good humoured and encouraging to us complete novices.We all had a fabulous time. The game at the end of the session was hilarious; I haven't laughed so long and hard for a long time.

Very nice place to park up and spend the day. Plenty of room to park and a lovely grass area to sit on before venturing into the lake. There is a cafe and an ice-cream van, to keep the kids topped up. The parking is quite dear but you just have to make a day of it. Water sports are available on site as well.
