I don't usually write reviews but I was so disappointed to read the last one that I had to correct the inaccurate review posted as my experience of the company has been completely different.Tom and James are true craftsmen. They made our staircase, and a number of smaller items for our house. Several visits were made to check and double check measurements, We were consulted at every stage to ensure we were happy with the end product. The result has exceeded my expectations and I do not hesitate to recommend this company. Their prices are very reasonable and did not change.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The quality of the product and level of service is second to none. Tom and his team made and fitted solid oak contemporary front and back doors to my own bespoke design. Wow! They are gorgeous. They also fitted new stairs and made an under stair oak door to match exactly with all our internal doors. James and Jake were a pleasure to have in our home for a week. I would not hesitate to recommend to others and to use them for all future projects.

I have no doubt that the quality of workmanship offered by Oakhanger Joinery can be exceptional, but we were extremely disappointed in the work undertaken for us.They supplied a quote which had nearly doubled by the time they had finished the job. When I broke the quote down, they were charging £300.00 per-man-per day which is ridiculous for a chippy. The rate at the time was about £150.00 per day.After much argument and needing to get the job done (partner due to give birth) we agreed to pay the full amount if they did a couple of additional small jobs for us. We all agreed and we paid them.Shortly after giving they payment we received a letter stating that they would not undertake any further work for us. This left us in an extremely difficult position, especially with a baby on the way.No further work was done by them.It cost us several hundred pounds to rectify their lack of workmanship and some still remains unfinished to this day.My advice is to go elsewhere.
