Handy ev chargers just off the motorway. There are loads of chargers and Les than half were in use when I visited

Couldn't find the new chargers, the directions take you to the old ones, which in have 44kwh output, getting 150kwh at BP onsite instead. Update the Google map pin please!*Edit, just found them on street view at the back of the carpark!*

There are two charging banks at Reading East. The location currently shown on the map is for the Medium Power chargers. The High Power chargers are at the rear of the car park, the Medium ones next to Greggs. There are signs, but you'll probably (a) miss them (b) not understand the implication. We only found the Type 2 chargers by reading the comments on ZapMap. Once we found the right one it appeared to work.

The high power chargers did not have the correct connector for my car so I had to use my usual spot by Greggs on the medium charge.

Eastbound today had to try 4 different chargers before I could get one to work - 2 said I wasnt authorised and 1 was out of order after plugging in.. Some other customers had the same problem. Charging speed began at c 100kw and quickly dropped to 50kw so not particularly fast - used westbound a few days ago access was immediate but charging speed again not particularly high

Turned up, lots of free chargers, and they just worked. Both East and West at Reading services. Always found Gridserve to be reliable.

Plentiful chargers. Had an error detected an internal error" on first charger but due to availability wasn't an issue and moved on. But I do wish the networks would improve their messaging on errors. That could imply a car issue not a charger issue. Regardless of that setback
