Nationwide Building Society

From the time I applied online to the time I went to the branch to open an account, the bank had no questions about my information. The branch employee looked at my ID carefully and told me that the account had been opened successfully, all the steps had been completed, and I just needed to wait for the card to arrive. On the day I received the card, Adam Hall, the manager of the bank, sent me an email from his personal email address, telling me that the address they entered was incorrect and they closed my account. I need to ask the school to send a bank letter to my address to prove my address. I have asked the school several times, and the school only provides a single standard bank letter, which cannot be sent to the apartment. I asked the manager what the difference was between this and the printed one. He said it might be different, which may be based on his speculation. When I came to open an account, I showed my address to the teller, the teller showed it to the manager, and he also entered it into the system, and there was no problem, but suddenly there was a problem after I received the card.

Huge DISAPPOINTMENT! Extremely unprofessional service! Obviously they are very polite and nice, but when it comes to solving a technical problem, they are utterly useless.In January 2019 i had an issue with an access to my bank account. It took me 4 visits to the branch before they really sorted out, and each time they were evenly surprised as if hearing that for the first time.March 2019, I've got a problem with another Nationwide product. So far I've been at the branch 3 times over the last 3 weeks and the problem hasn't been sorted yet. I literally don't know what to do now (apart from discouraging everybody I know from having anything to do with this company).That all makes me thinking: what these guys are paid for???

I visited the branch earlier today as I needed attending an urgent matter taking a significant amount of time. The ladies both helped me out massively. Thank you Nationwide for your very friendly and helpful colleagues.

Had great help from Rachael at Nationwide on Cardiff Queen Street today - I was pressed for time, but she managed to set up something for me amazingly smoothly!

Like most banking institutions, they continue to close local branches which makes it difficult for a lot of customers to get to. I'm a pensioner but to get to my branch, i have to get a bus then a train to get there just to put a cheque in or draw out larger sums of money.So please consider re-opening some of your smaller local businesses in suburban areas around Cardiff.Thanks

I've never been so satisfied as I was with the customer service I was just given by a lovely lady named Alex from our Cardiff branch. Amazing people skills! Very friendly and helpful made me feel very comfortable. As I was stressed due to my finance company trying something on in order to charge extra payments, it was swiftly dealt with by Alex. My only regret is not asking her surname so that I could write a glowing email to nationwide letting them know how impressed I am. Nationwide as a whole are world's above my previous bank in terms of customer service and reliability. (lloyds) now I'm struggling to figure out what took me so long to switch! Amazing!

The staff are always super friendly and helpful in this branch, will make you a cup of tea if you're there with a more lengthy query, and go above and beyond. One of the ladies even called me after I went in to ask advice on a scam text with further information about contacting my phone network, which had nothing to do with banking. Brilliant customer service from all.

I think they did renovation during lockdown? Not sure if reopened yet! But used to be a good bank with helpful and professional staff.

Absolutely amazing service. I came in with a very dire financial situation and needed access to money i had locked up, and not only was my issue resolved, it was done so with genuine concern and care. I need to specifically say thank you to Chloe and Kristian for this. They were both absolutely incredible. As well as Nina from the support Centre who helped set everything up by listening to my issues and contacting the Cardiff branch.
