My colleague, her dog and I visited the pub. Very friendly and helpful staff, who went the extra mile (one thing they did was prepare some sausages for my colleague's dog, and didn't charge).A good selection of real ales and real ciders, and they offered tasting samples. My colleague are food in the pub, and she was full of praise for her food. Her dog enjoyed his sausages funnily enough.Oh, and the pub has real firesA wonderful pub.

We had a get together with friends one came from Australia, another from Portugal, one from Cardiff, one from Loxwood, and another two from Billingshurst. We enjoyed a lingering lunch, which was splendid and wash down with plenty of lager and wine.

A few friends and I visited the Black Jug on Sunday for a roast dinner. Booking was easy and hassle free.We arrived and were escorted to our table in a cosy but airy part of the pub. The atmosphere was great and there were loads of people enjoying their roasts too.The food was delicious and the price you'd expect to pay. Around £19 to £23 depending on what you chose. Sides of pigs in blankets were available too, which are a staple side for this time of year! Plenty of food for the price. Desert list was filled with tempting treats, all around £7.95, again, reasonable. The staff were very friendly. Can't fault the experience and will go back.

Popped in for a vino last Friday with a friend and it was packed. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and pleasant people.Customer base seemed 30s upwards who had been working in London as its close by to the station.Lovely garden, perfect for some chips and a pint.

Disappointing meal at the black jug. My mum ordered prawn linguine with a side salad. They bought out a main meal salad but no linguine. They did eventually bring the correct meal.We ordered pudding. Took 25 minutes to arrive. Not great service. Mediocre food.

Beautiful pub for a Sunday roast. Had the braised lamb shoulder which complemented well with a rosemary gravy and assorted vegetables. The lamb was tender and succulent. It paired well with the red wine which there was quite a few to choose from. There’s also a lovely beer garden outside for the summer.

My last stop in Horsham for my last drink before hit back to home. Service was ok with good atmosphere but all I didn’t like the variety they are serving. Most of cask which are fine but keg is most of the things you can have from supermarket. Nothing special.

Sizeable pub with a large outdoor area too. Great roast dinners and desserts. No parking available, but park in the nearby pay-and-display (£1.70 on Sundays).

Great pub. Really relaxed and welcoming. Service is friendly and the drinks are the best in horsham. Great choice of wine and gin. The boardgames are a fun extra.
