Sixt is disappointing, frustrating and deceptive. Its time for rental companies to be honest when you book a car to show you what is actually available at the station you are hiring from. In my case, I booked and paid for a premium small car 'Audi A1/Mini'. I was offered a Peugeot 2008, Citroen C3 or Vauxhall Mokka.Perhaps if the CEO of Sixt were about to pick up his new Audi A8 and found a Citreon C5 on arrival at his dealership, they would get to experience the Sixt customer reality. I wonder what they would then say when the dealer then said 'Well the A8 and C5 are in the same category, but we can offer you an upgrade for a fee'.My advice, book the lowest, cheapest car on offer so as not to be disappointed or pay any more than you absolutely need. Who knows, perhaps in going for the most affordable you may be 'delighted' to have to be upgraded free because they have run out of cars in that category. After all, they have no idea what is available!As for the rental station, it's in a poorly lit multistorey car-park on level 8, so take a powerful floodlight to check the car. From the railway station, signage is also poor until you get to the car park. Can't complete blame Sixt, but at other railway stations, I note other rental firms do have signage to their locations.Wish me luck as I've still to return the car and allow Sixt to bill me nearly the cars value in administration and excess fees.

I chose to use Sixt because of convenience of collecting and dropping off at the train station and because on the website it says you can after hours drop-off which is convenient because at the time of the booking in September they were only open a few hours on Saturday.The process for getting the car was great the counter attendant very polite. I asked about if there would be an issue if we were delayed getting back, could I call and she said there wouldn’t be an issue and there wouldn’t be anyone there to answer. Just needed to return the car and drop the keys. Did so for my half five train. I get an invoice over a week later that says I returned the car at 8pm Sunday and has effectively charged me £200+ for this, my original pre-paid amount being £189 through a voucher on booking.com. Have tried to get in contact but the location is now closed. Have emailed the company so maybe that’ll help.I’ve always rented from enterprise in the past and found their locations and times inconvenient for this trip but will return to them in the future because nothing like this ever happens with them in my experience.

Aberdeen Scotland airport branch management is lovely. Entire customer service operation and 3rd party breakdown team is appalling and unacceptable. Whoever heads those departments should be fired so someone who knows what they are doing can rebuild from the foundation. Our friends used the competition and had a 5 star experience. They quipped that Sixt actually should be named Suxt…that says it all.

SIXT Car & Van Hire - Aberdeen Train Station
Absolute worst van hire service I have ever used.Hired a van to move stuff out of my flat and the van decided not to start once I had filled it. I called the office to be told that it was up to us to contact the breakdown recovery team (which is odd, why can they not do it?) and we were provided a number. Called this number multiple times to be kicked off the call after an automated voice told us 'this line is currently not screened due to COVID-19', leaving us with no idea what to do. Tried to call the office several more times but could not get through, so all I could do at this point was Google potential issues with the van and try to fault find (again, shouldn't be my responsibility!).We had to give the van back by 8pm and it was now already 6pm after all this. The lady on the phone (who we spoke to originally) had told us that we 'probably' wouldn't be charged for returning the van a bit later as it 'wasn't our fault', as you can imagine, this wasn't very comforting or reassuring. So as well as being broken down with all of my belongings in the van, I was also increasingly stressed about being charged for a late return.No thanks to Sixt, we got back up and running due to one of my friends being a mechanic, thankfully I had this contact but I would have had no idea what to do if I didn't!All in all an AWFUL experience. And I do not recommend.

I've used Sixt at the Aberdeen Train Station a few times now - they are always kind, helpful, and accommodating. Naomi and the other staff have been very friendly with any questions or post-hire issues. They are also flexible with late drop-offs, which is helpful if the highland roads add a bit of time on your journey!My only issue with Sixt is not being able to contact the office directly (as comms or lost-and-found items must all go through their central site), but any time interacting with the Aberdeen staff has been very pleasant.All in all, would recommend and will continue to hire from them!

Needed a hire car at very short notice. Lady in Sixt was very helpful ensuring we got a car in a very reasonable time and also making sure we gat a decent rate. Customer service was excellent and confirmed why I prefer to use Sixt wherever I travel.

Best part of the experience is the fact that you are providing a very nice and luxury vehicles for young people who are 23 and 24 years old. I am personally 24 y.o. and I love cars back home I own 2 BMW’s 5 series and X5. So it was very pleasant to get new modern fully equipped cars from your branch. Website is very nice and easy to use. Prices are alright, could be cheaper, since the difference between 24 and 25 y.o. is huge almost 3 times but the fact is that in real life driving experience between the man who is 24 and man who is 25 y.o. is not any significant, most of the cases I know a lot of people same age as me or younger but that are driving way more better and safer than most of the elder people. So, I think that you should re-adjust prices according to the time of holding driving license and owning car as well as real driving experience. Because even if I am 24 years old, I am driving since 18. And till now have 0 accidents and 0 tickets from the police and there are lots of people same as me. So, if you could lower or adjust the prices for 23 and 24 y.o. that would be great you will get 10 times more customers for sure:)I have suggested your company to 3 of my friends and 2 of them actually used it. One got BMW another one got Citroen. But both of them told me that its little bit uncomfy paying for car + paying 400 or 500 pounds for the deposit since we are students or young workers and then waiting 5 or 7 working days to get the deposit back is a little bit on the bad side, but personally for me I am totally fine with it.Would be better if you added some more automatic vehicles to your list. Since almost everyone renting car here are used for the left-hand drive compared to the RHD here in UK. So automatic is always better for the first time.Coming back to experience, generally very happy. Cars are good. Prices are okay. The stuff is amazing. That guy Mitchel/Michael (Aberdeen city Train Station department) is literally the best rental guy I have met in my life. And I have rented a lot of cars since I am traveling a lot. He is very friendly, helpful and smart he knows everything about the cars and always helps with picking the right one. 10/10 experience.Thank you very much, you are a very good company, keep it up!Kind Regards, Abdulhamid Naghiyev

Booked a car for just over a week. The service was second to none. The day before I was contacted to check if I had any changes or specific requests for my hire. When I collected the car the person I spoke to (Ms Linnell) was very helpful and made the process as simple as possible. The car I was provided with, very much met my expectations and requirements. I will definitely use this company again.
