Newmedica Eye Health Clinic & Surgical Centre - Barlborough

Had cataract surgery yesterday 8th November. All the nurses were so kind and friendly. Very reassuring. Mr Patel, the surgeon was excellent, talking me through the procedure. I can thoroughly recommend Newmedica.

I am Polish. On December 15, I underwent cataract surgery at the New Medica clinic in Barlborough. From the very moment I entered the clinic building, I felt at ease and knew that I was in the right place where they would help me. I was treated very nice and caringly by the staff and the surgeon. My husband underwent Lazer and cataract surgery at Newmedica Barlborough and from beginning to end from surgeon staff healthcare worker reception all the staff could not of done anymore to put my husband at ease explaining everything to him. You are all absolutely amazing.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. I recently travelled to this eye health clinic after being recommended by Specsavers my opticians. After a number of examinations including eyesight and blood pressure I was seen by an optometrist who recommended cataract surgery. Reception advised me of a cancellation and my procedure was completed within 2 days. My experience in surgery was excellent and reassuring with a complete explanation of what would occur. I must add that no injection is necessary. The eye is completely frozen with the use of eye drops. After care is fully explained and after a very welcome cup of tea I was able to be driven home. There was minor discomfort for a few hours and street lights had a halo surrounding them. My distance vision is vastly improved and I was able to travel to town the following morning in search of sunglasses. Thank you for excellent care.Highly recommended.
