Paul is extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does. I started the day a complete novice in map reading skills, having never used a compass and the amount of information and confidence gained within the space of one day was remarkable. A 5* service from a genuine nice guy. Top marks from me and I'd definitely recommend.

My husband and I booked on an intro to mountaineering skills course with north east guides and had a brilliant time! We learn loads about navigational skills and reading the landscape, plus it was great having the mountain pups along for the weekend!

I went on a one day navigation course. The course was well planned and we were lucky enough to have great weather. The course was tailored to exactly what the participants wanted. I had an excellent day and now feel more confident to navigate safely in the hills. Paul is a good teacher, patient and can explain things clearly. I would thoroughly recommend North East Guises.

Took a one day beginners navigation course with Paul and I can’t recommend it enough. Went home with all the basic knowledge of map reading and using a compass, and had a great day out in the hills.
