D4dog walking, training and behaviour support

My dog Bear goes with Jared every week and he adores him. As soon as Jared turns into the street Bear knows he's on his way! They go on the best adventures together, never a short whip around the block. Bear is always so happy to go on his walk with him and is always shattered when he comes back. Jared handles Bear very well and has helped to improve his recall. I would 100% recommend D4dog for anyone looking for a dog trainer and walker.

My husband and I recently adopted a Romanian rescue dog called Oscar. Although he has settled in very well with us, he does have an issue of being nervous and barking non stop if someone new comes into the house. We contacted Jared as we knew we needed help and our rescue support groups advice was a bit 'one size fits all' and wasn't fitting our situation. Jared was amazing from the moment he stepped through the door! He really took the time to understand Oscar (and us!) and give us steps we can take to begin to help him adjust. It was obvious Jared was knowledgeable and also had empathy for the life Oscar had previously. He was highly experienced with dealing with him and was kind and calm the entire time. We will certainly be working more with Jared and I highly recommend him to anyone feeling a bit out of their depth with any training or behaviour issues. Thank you!

We have a Bullmastiff and very early on from getting him we wanted to socialise him and do right by him. We came across ‘The Big dog walk’ that Jared organises and it’s been amazing. Being in a group with other big breed owners helps immensely with confidence.We also went to the 6 week ‘Get to know your dog’ course that Jared runs - again it was amazing - He is clear, informative and paces the information just right. Our two daughters (9 and 12 at the time of the course) got a lot out of the course and really appreciated how Jared included them and allowed them to ask questions. They continue, several months down the line, to correct me if I do something wrong!I have also asked Jared for a 1-2-1 session to ensure we remain on the right track and his calm and knowledgeable way helps to reassure and encourage.I’m hoping he has space to take on a dog walk for us once/twice a week in the future with work commitments for us.If you have a big breed dog D4Dogs should be your only port of call!

D 4 dogs has been walking my dog for a the last year. And i must stress that I would not let just anyone walk my dog. Jarad's knowledge of the more challenging breeds as well as normal breeds is second to none. I also like the way he limits the number of dogs he walks (especially larger breeds) the so that my dog is always under control. Having experienced my dog being attacked by multiple dogs being walked by one person who had no control over them is the reason I have D 4 dogs walk mine. I would recommend to anyone who wants some that knows dogs to look after there dogs.

D4dog has honestly changed my beautiful (giant) puppy and my life, I HAD a very reactive St. Bernard, which was coming such a difficulty with walking, socialising and took all the joy out of owning such a beautiful boy! From the first meet Jared wasn’t Phased by him and really got to understand both our issues! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my boy and can not recommend or praise the amazing training he has provided. Thank you Jared!

Eddie and Joey absolutely love walking with Jared. They always come home happy and tired out from a long walk. They are both young vey active dogs, so it takes a lot to tire them out! Jared takes them to a variety of different parks so they get a lot of different environments to play and run in. Jared also offers a lot of good tips on training and I can particularly see the benefits of his expertise in the way my puppy Joey’s behaviour has improved. Would thoroughly recommend Jared to any dog owner.

Excellent!! D4dog offers a reliable and trusted waking service. As well as being experienced with larger dogs, Jared is also a great trainer and Bluey’s behaviour is improving too. Most importantly, Bluey really looks forward to his walks with Jared. A big thumbs up!

I reached out to Jared over a year ago due to his experience of large breeds. Jared visited our home and observed our 12month old GSD behaviour and created a detailed report. This allowed us to work together on areas we wanted support or felt would help Saxon develop positive reinforcement of behaviours that were essential being part of a young family. Jared has adapted to the needs of our boy with a balance of training sessions, group walks and 1:1 training walks. Our confidence has grown as a family taking our boy out to restaurants and busy environments. Also to have the confidence to challenge the negative perceptions of others around the GSD breed. Our 5 year has also recently walked in front holding his lead independently due to the loose lead techniques put in place. Jared attended my local secondary school to run a session on dog handling, safety and welfare for the staff who would be working with our therapy dog. Jared’s session was informative and engaging. Staff who had been dog owners for all their lives said they had learnt a great deal from the session. As coordinator of the therapy dog in school it was fantastic for me knowing that our staff were getting the best and well evidenced advice. The session helped us structure therapy sessions effectively and make sure both dog and people were always well looked after. Jared was organised, personable and professional in setting up the session and in its delivery. I highly recommend his approach as a dog behaviourist.

I couldn’t recommend Jared’s services enough. Jared comes weekly to take Bala for walks and she absolutely adores him. As soon as she hears his van she’s right at the front door waiting for him and when she comes back she is so happy with herself and I honestly couldn’t ask for better than that. Also having been on the big dog walks he runs for charity with some of his other clients you can tell my dog isn’t the only one who is like this with him.
