Well Pharmacy

I rushed into this pharmacy at 10.55pm with a prescription from the hospital. I was concerned they'd not prescribe my medicine, as they close at 11pm. But they did! An absolute Godsend having a pharmacy 5 - 10 minutes drive away to collect a prescription so late at night. Both members of staff were friendly & sorted my prescription promptly. Thank you to the staff there tonight working unsociable hours, it's very much appreciated. I will come here again if my usual pharmacy is closed.

Been with chemist for 3 months now ment to get a text every week to say my prescription is ready had 2 texts so far and eveytime I got to wait till they do it up the staff even lost the prescription once n had to wait over 20 mins to find it totally shocking tomorrow is last 1 from there new chemist been done wen I order up on mondayv

Why is your phone always off the hook? - patients need to ask questions about their prescriptions? - I know you are busy but that isn’t good practice, you need more staff if you can’t answer the phone, really frustrating.

Terrible chemist, shelves were half empty. Called in for wound dressing but had very limited choice, had better selection of flea and worm treatment for dogs!!

This pharmacy is not a pharmacy ... they dont even know how to help person with burn hand..my hand was 1/3 red and in some pleaces I had blisters. they didn't even look at the hand.They sold me a cream CREAM for Sunburn!!!I didnt gave up and I went to boots pharmacy on team valley... they explained what can happend, how to treat this burn. I left pharmacy with gel for burn and something for reduce od scaring. They were Great nad Thanks to boots my hand looks very good now.

This chemist deserves zero stars. You never get acknowledged by the staff even though you are standing at the counter & they can see you, this is the height of ignorance. The staff need to be retrained in customer services. After standing being ignored in a queue of 6 other customers who were also being ignored I walked out without being served, this is the 3rd time this has happened & I will never go back. What a waste of time. Staff totally inadequate.

Always have to wait to get served, whilst the 6 or 7 staff ignore you. Their abilty to get prescription products is poor, i have to ring to check if they are in, this is after a week.

Absolutely ridiculous place. 7-8 people in the queue. 5 of the personnel are just packing bags, and no one comes to the counter to serve. Then, someone eventually served 2 people from the queue and walked away back to packing stuff. It is like that every time I pick up my prescriptions, which is regularly. Even if you are alone in the store, you still will be waiting a few minutes until someone decides to serve you. Another thing: 7-10 days waiting for your prescription to be ready from the day it's been ordered. Seriously!!!??? My old pharmacy in South Shields needed only 3 days tops. It's time to look for another pharmacy in Birtley.

Wish I could put zero stars, was having an asthma attack in my mams car after not being able to find my inhalers anywhere. We happened to pass this pharmacy so I ran in to ask for help so the young girl (who seemed lovely, shame about the man in charge of her) asked me to write down my details as i have never been to that pharmacy. While trying to find me on the system, the man behind the counter was extremely rude and after finally finding me on the system he refused to help me as I hadn’t ordered them for so long. I understand this may be the law but he could have at least offered to ring my GP and get it approved. The way this man spoke to me while I was clearly in distress, crying and struggling to breathe was disgusting. People like him should not be in this job, wish I saw his name tag but was far too distracted to think of that at the time.

Just been to this pharmacy for the first time.I found the staff incredibly rude shouting over to me from behind what appeared to be a back shop. Lots of people queuing so no privacy whatsoever.The place was really dirty and not very well stocked.So after waiting 10 minutes and being shouted to, they told me they didn't have what I wanted and offered no alternative ( night nurse)Never again.RegardsDave
