Nice place. Lots of info boards etc. No wind and sunny when we were there I bet it's a different story during a northerly storm!

The view from Dunbar battery is beautiful. On a clear day, you can look across to Anstruther.Bass rock is an ever changing wonderful sight to behold, influenced by the weather and the eye of the beholder. One day, covered in birds with the sun reflecting from the water, another day erie, surrounded in mystery as it rises from the mist.The rugged coastline at the battery is in stark contrast to the lovely sandy beaches at Bellhaven bay or White sands. Nevertheless, it is an interesting and historical part of Dunbar’s coastline as it gives way to the opening to the Harbour and is a reminder of the battles to protect the people of Dunbar.

Interesting enough restored gun battery which was used for defenses in the Napoleonic wars and was attacked twice during the American war if independence. Takes half an hour to wander around and take in the gorgeous views.

Great idea in principal, but doesn't seem to be compatible with the Galaxy s21. Best avoid if you are a Samsung user.

Dunbar Battery
This was our first time visiting the Battery since its opening in 2017. A spectacular setting and a great stage for the local community to use and for local exhibitions, such as the current John Muir exhibition. Our kids loved playing with the mirror boxes and 'performing' on the stage. Definitely a highlight for our visit, along with the wonderful harbour and castle.
