Expensive, absolutely awful communication and the locksmith tried to rip us off.Locksmith Tony came round to replace our locks. I asked him to give me a quote for them and after seemingly plucking numbers out of the air he told me it would be around £190 all in.He completed the job and told me that because it took him longer than expected, it would now be £250! Plus he also took the liberty to install some lock guards, so that added to the price. A professional would have factored that all into the original quote.I was a bit taken aback but I didn't kick up a fuss, and asked if he could invoice me as I didn't want to pay the cash in hand he was requesting. He didn't have the paperwork on him so he would email me. I had to chase him for the invoice 3 days later, and eventually he sent me a Google Doc with no breakdown in price, just a total of £250.So I asked him to send a breakdown of costs, which he did bit they didn't make any sense. And when I queried this further, he rang me to thank me for pointing out the discrepancy, his secretary had made a mistake and it should actually be £267!Are you kidding me? How has the price changed for the third time from the original quote? After a 20 min argument I told him I'm not paying that much. I explained the situation the next day to the office and they told me, based on his price list, he his invoice was too expensive: it should actually be around £220.Got an apology, but not much else. I paid it, asked for confirmation of receipt.Then a month later, the office rang my partner's number and asked to take payment for Tony's job. Fortunately, I answered the call and explained that we had already paid that. Poor internal communication.

Bought an installation of Yale smart lock from Yale and was assigned lockrite to carry out the work. It has been a week and I still haven't heard back from the locksmith to schedule a time.

Absolute rubbish. Called on a non emergency problem. Back door lock not working. Promised to get their locksmith to call back. Nothing!! Phoned following day. Received call back. The locksmith apologised and asked for pictures of the lock. Promised to call back upon receipt. I sent photo. Absolute silence. Still waiting!! Called another locksmith company who have already been and fixed the problem. Certainly won’t be wasting my time again with LockRite. Suggest you find another firm. If they weren’t interested should have simply said so.

Used the local locksmith to Maidenhead today and received excellent service. Reasonably priced, efficient service and arrived early. Managed to make space at short notice and used high quality products. Gave a no obligation assessment of the other locks on property and happy to discuss security of these locks. Also cut extra keys free of charge which was a really nice touch. Definitely use again.
