Bamboo Flooring Company

Really happy with this company from their impeccable service down to the product itself. My wife and I had an old carpet in our hallway and front room which was ruined by our unwell cat and just generally worn down. We decided to opt for a solid floor and the Bamboo Flooring Company offered just what we needed. It is a solid floor that would offer years of protection (twice as hard as oak ... my saw blade can vouch for this. As it is composed of bamboo, we are comfortable in knowing that the trees used were fast growing and therefore more sustainable than other hardwood alternatives. The finish is lovely and we feel it really compliments our front room and hallway.Bamboo Flooring Company also offer a wide range of finishes and colours, as well as matching skirting, nosing and other essential accessories. Like I said I was really impressed with the service. Despite COVID pressures, the company delivered in quick time and even checked and picked up on errors in our order prior to dispatching. I wish all companies done this! The product is easy to lay, just make sure you do good preparation to the subfloor, i.e. make sure its level.All in all I am really happy with this company. When it comes to using solid flooring I would definitely recommend Bamboo Flooring Company and I do plan to use them again in the future.Thanks!

We have had it down for two days and the marks on the floor are ridiculous. It's supposed to super strong and better than oak. I have two small children and I'm going to have to continuously manage what they bring into the lounge and basically everything they do in order to keep the floor looking relatively ok.Edit: after contacting customer service, Neil has been very accommodating so will try his recommendations.It is a lovely floor and a lovely company. Maybe go for lighter colour flooring...

Great prices, excellent service, could not ask for more. Deliveries were swift, the one issue I had was dealt with courteously and without quibble. Happy to use again.

I love my bamboo flooring which I have in my new kitchen / extension. From start to finish the customer service has been excellent. My joiner said the flooring was really easy to fit and he was very impressed by it. Highly recommend this flooring and company.

I’m only reviewing the postal charges not the product as it hasn’t been delivered yet. £95 for delivery to mainland Scotland. It is an absolute rip off and disgrace. We don’t live in the highlands or on the islands. We live in a county called Moray......I still stand by my 1 star for delivery costs, however as I have now received and installed the product I have to update my experience.Communication with the company was excellent, product arrived in quick time (tho I expect nothing less for £95). The flooring is of excellent quality.

First met these guys at NEC home exhibition, samples looked great & was impressed with how durable Bamboo is as an alternative to oak. Travelled to Leicester showroom to order flooring & decided on grey colour, delivery & communication was great also called store on advice on fitting (we used our own fitter) store were brilliant really helpful. Our fitter boarded our floor first then used flexible adhesive with herringbone pattern finish, it looks brilliant! The grey colour has different shades in it therefore looks more natural. I have oak flooring in one of my other rooms however I plan to change to Bamboo as looks much better than oak & is harder wearing. I don’t think you would beat the cost & service from Bamboo flooring would highly recommend

Massive Flooring Shrinkage. AVOID. Solid Carbonised Vertical Bamboo Flooring bought.Each plank has shrunk significantly leaving gaps between floorboards all over my flat, some as much as 1cm wide. It has not visibly contracted and expanded with the seasons or any changes in heat or humidity, it simply shrunk over a few months after installation and has remained that way.The flooring was left to acclimatize for three times longer than the Bamboo Flooring Company's recommendation. It was also out of stock when I originally inquired about ordering it and I have been told from those who work in the industry that shrinkage like this is indicative of wood that has not been completely dried prior to installation.Having complained to both the installer and Bamboo Flooring Company, neither party have taken responsibility and I have been left in the middle with no support. The installer insists they followed all guidance issued by the Bamboo Flooring Company and have never seen shrinkage like this before. The Bamboo Flooring Company does not seem to be signed up to any ombudsman to help resolve the issue further and their terms describe court action as the next step to resolve it. Having read other reviews posted here and elsewhere, this shrinking is not an isolated incident and the Bamboo Flooring Company appears incapable of considering that their product is to blame. It's always someone else who has made a mistake.Please Avoid!

Sadly the staff that I have spoken to are all quite rude, unapproachable and not pleasant.Also the flooring is not hypoallergenic as advertised. I ended up in hospital with a severe allergic reaction to the fibres when the boards were cut. This company showed no compassion to this. Having read the datasheets the chemicals they use to lacquer it are known to cause allergic reactions. This should be advertised, or their claims of being hypoallergenic should be removed as they are misleading.As for the flooring, it scratches very easily and they send you a lot of paperwork before which essentially says that ANY fault with the flooring, even if it is damaged, is not their fault. The only way you can claim for damage if you tell the delivery driver to mark the package as damaged. You cannot open every package and check every board for damage whilst the driver is there as you are also meant to keep them packaged until use!I wish I had used a more compassionate, friendly company that actually cared for their customers.

Fantastic company to order from and deal with AND the floor is beautiful. My joiner said it was the best flooring he had ever worked with.Very helpful when I needed to return my unboxed surplus with prompt collection and refund.Thank you Neil

Bad company be warned. Spent over £3000. The bamboo flooring was not fit for purpose with underfloor heating and has shrunk allot. This company hired a expert witness with biased review. They now say the won’t discuss it. Even I have proven them wrong.
Bad company won’t discuss, won’t fix or refund, won’t send a sample for moister testing and won’t answer any questions or proof. The Director has blocked my number. So do not buy from this company as if you have a problem they won’t do anything to help. They will ignore you.
