Stayed here before (when it was fun by Ibis). Cosmetically the hotel has vastly improved. Mostly the same staff as on our previous visits who were as friendly and helpful as always. Have 2 more bookings here for later in the year and have no qualms about returning.

Room looked fine, and had a few additions like a decent chair that was good. Unfortualty I was near the first security door and heard everyone come through it. Some at 3 or 4 am on a Monday night. Due to location to work I will stay again and maybe request a different room.

Probably the worse breakfast I have had in my life. Couldn't even eat it. Was inedible. Eggs were gritty and cold and old. Beans were cold the pot was off. No veggie optionsNo dairy free milk alternatives for cereal. We spoke to reception and she said the food was from night shift and no one in the morning had checked it. The Hash browns were like rotten cardboard. Lack of everything. We didn't eat it. We just left. Absolutely atrocious breakfast. Wouldn't even serve that to a dog. The 1st lady I asked for help was useless and a little rude. Will definitely not be coming back to this hotel again. The room itself was clean and tidy.

I am really appreciative to the steward who gave us a room despite the hotel being overbookedYou should not be able to overbook a hotel as it means if everyone shows up people risk being left without a room really appreciate all his help. The renovations to the hotel really do make a difference. The beds are really comfy, good pillows.Only complaint is our room clearly backed onto a water system or something as there was constant wooshing all nightGiven we were squeezed in, we didn't make a complaint or issue of this as we got to sleep fine and were just glad to have our bed for the night

Room was cheap which was the only plus but had less sleep than if we was on the street, first we had the kettle fail on us multiple times owing to dodgy electric sockets. Walls are paper thin was kept up until 12 AM with screaming kids by the typical neighbours, only to realise that there’s no staff on hand so had to deal with it. Fortunately, sleep was not needed anyway as woken up at 3 AM by fire alarm going off and whole building evacuated. Staff took an hour to evacuate and clear the risk for it was only someone smoking in their room. For some reason the fire brigade was called for this as well. Anyway, staff was in shambles doing the fire evacuation drill and isolating the zones of the alleged fire. Got back sleep at 5 AM and woke at 10 to realise… no hot running water for a shower. Don’t go here. Ever. P.S local pub next door charges £5-7 a pint.

Very comfortable remodelled room. Staff universally friendly and helpful. Room serviced well. Parking easy. Great location for routes around and about Northampton.

Arrived to find that the lift wasn't working, room incredibly small with no wardrobe. Comfortable bed however was a bit too short as I found my legs were hanging off. Woken up by banging and hammering at 9am every day as this is a former IBIS which Travelodge are renovating according to the reception staff I met on day one. Decent cheap place to call base camp for the night. Breakfast delicious but very expensive at around 9 quid compared to about 5 or 6 quid over the road at the priory pub. Staff were for the most part helpful but didn't seem... Happy. One woman came up to me this morning asking me if I was a workman or a customer, as I was pressing the button to dispense apple juice from the machine. Apparently, we hadn't paid? I'm sure as hell we did! Decent location however public transport links are very poor with the nearest bus stop 20 minutes walk away, and even then the bus service that serves aforementioned stop only gets one bus per hour in each direction. Large (and rather expensive) sainsbury's nearby with a petrol station.

Restored my faith in Travelodges. Have had bad experience in the past but this one was clean, quiet, friendly and very nice. The staff even allowed early check in without paying extra

I reserved two rooms: 211 and 214. The rooms were great. However, the covers for shower gel and hand wash liquid were interchanged which created confusion for some time. It's interesting to note that it was the same case in both rooms. Another problem was that they don't have a proper cloakroom. We had to catch our trains in the evening; so, we checked out before 12pm and the receptionist happily took our backpacks to store them in their cloakroom. When we came to collect them in the evening, we were in a bit of a hurry and therefore I accompanied the receptionist into the cloakroom to collect our bags. It was a very foul-smelling room; I felt like vomiting even when I spent less than 30 seconds there.Despite these two problems, I liked it because of its rooms, well-mannered receptionists etc.
