Heron Foods

Great prices for goods especially in hard times. There's always something for the taste. Unfortunately the customer service is terrible, there have been times where I have just been stood for 5 minutes or more waiting for someone to come to the till. I have autism and agoraphobia and being put in that situation really doesn't help.

Place is small but comforting. Service is excellent and is ideal to grab a quick snack, or for a small shopping.

Cowboy operation from start to finish. Terrible, in fact appalling customer service. Untrained kids on tills or dragon woman creature. I have put my basket down and walked out due to no one being bothered to jump on the till. These head sets things just encourage bad service. Staff having the most personal of conversations never even bothering to look at the customer during the transaction. Sack manager, retrain all staff from beginning. Which is a joke as heron foods don't do training.

Nothing special. Not good prices.

I was passing on Sunday 1st July 2018 and the security and female staff member had a customer on the floor in the doorway pulling her round the floor like a rag doll because she had stole an item of £3 total disgrace banged her head on the floor and door.My children had seen this and they were quite upset so i offered to pay for the item because clearly she had stolen the item as she was hungry not to profit from this.Even the manager from morrisons was clearly concerned for this woman so fair play to him.But the staff member from heron foods was a disgrace and told me to stay out of it because she does this every day.I don't condone stealing but if it's that bad ban her!!! Just thought people need to know this.

Heron foods is always gd for a bargain u never know what may find in there so always gd to pop in

Excellent self-service machines, very responsive to the barcodes. The Actimel offers to die for. Plus there no queues like Morrisons!

Heron Foods has the cheapests prices in food, desserts and the usual supermarket stuff. Great value for your budget

Good choice of swees, chocolates, crisps, drinks and frozen food especially ice cream. Customer service could be better as the lady with dark hair who usually works at the back and sometimes at the tills complaining a lot. Not sure how to describe her she's not healthy. Be greaful you got a job

The food is good, the prices are low, and the chain is really good as a whole. But despite all that, I sadly cannot recommend this branch. There is one particular female member of staff who is generally rude and acts as if anything is too much like hard work for her. For example, when I last went in, she was stocking the shelves - slowly - and when I asked if I could please pay for the items I selected, I was met with a sigh. She grudgingly checked me out, and barely made eye contact throughout the entire exchange, making me feel not like a valued customer but more like an inconvenience. There is definitely a need for some basic customer service training there, she is dragging down the standard of the whole branch.
