I select his store as a collection point for a next day delivery. On the following day I received notification that Amazon were unable to deliver and the reason given was “closed”. I drove past the store an hour later and saw it was in fact open, and I called Amazon and filed a complaint. Amazon said they would attempt redelivery today. Today I received a further notification that they had been unable to complete delivery, this time citing “unable to access front door”.On driving towards the store an hour later, by absolute chance, I came across the Amazon delivery guy and he had my parcel. He explained to me that in both occasions when they had tried to deliver to Orchard News, the owner had refused to accept the parcel, as it was “too big”. It was in fact 24” x 24” x 36” and fitted very easily on the front seat of my car.The reasons cited by Amazon were as such because there was no box to tick saying that the owner was pedantic and uncooperative and has no business listing himself as an Amazon Collection Point.This store should be dropped by Amazon as a pick up point.

Don't use this as a click&collect store for Yodel packages, God forbid you have mobility issues and require skingrafts like me so you need your partner to pick something up for you.The guy will argue with you and refuse to hand them over even with the collection code and my ID to hand. He did this even after I complained to Yodel asking them to remind the store of process and sent him again to pick it up for me. He handed the package over but not without a fight. Ridiculous.I'm sure the place is fine for picking up your bits and bobs or whatever but I wouldn't trust it as a Yodel pick up point as far as I could throw it. Shameful!

Service is always good , convenient store - prices slightly dear but what you expect - better than queuing in supermarket !
