Travelodge York Hull Road

Second time visiting this travelodge. No complaints. The room was absolutely fine and thankfully there were no other noisy guests as that really is one of my pet hates. The location is great, it's not too far from York city centre. Pub attached to it if needed. Would stay here again if we visit York again.

Each time I stay here the staff are so pleasant. Rooms are fresh, spotless ly clean, well presented and comfortable. Sue S. on reception and Mags deserve particular credit for their work.Its a pleasant 30 min walk into York centre and buses pass the door every 10 minutes.

Room 200 is incredibly noisy. The noise came from above, but there is nothing there apart from the roof! I managed to finally get to sleep at midnight and the noise started again at 6am. It sounded like the hotel ghost dragging furniture on the roof! Apart from that, the hotel was fine. Having stayed in various hotels in the former Soviet Union, this Travelodge has a definite Soviet hotel feel to it (plus the free very noisy ghost.) The Soviet comparison is not a compliment as anyone who has stayed in a hotel in Russia etc will understand. For the rest of you, it means run down, old, poorly maintained but basically functional. They have beds and bathrooms.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Travelodge on Hull Road, the staff there are some of the most friendly and helpful! Always smiling and wishing you good morning if you catch them.The value for money is fantastic, staying for an extended period was easy and didn't break the bank.The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to visit the university campus which is a 16min walk away or drive/catch public transport into York.It is nice and quiet at night and during the day as you're away from the main road.A few nice to haves would be the lights in the main hallway on a sensors so they go out as you get a fair amount of light pollution under the door, this was sorted with using a towel.

Budget hotel, good staff, large car park at rear, steak house type pub in front of hotel. 10 min bus ride into center of York but some buses a bit unreliable ended up driving to park & ride for a more consistent service. Could do with better pillows on the bed these were just not firm enough.

You get what you pay for... make of that what you will. Rooms were clean, bit tired. Quite basic. The service at Reception was a bit abrupt, but I guess they're used to dealing with stag parties.

Brilliant staff and in a good location but I found the rooms lack some essentials like a hair dryer and a bath as it only had a shower

Basic but decent motel to stay in, that grants easy access to the city centre and its attractions.The accessible rooms that we stayed in were very spacious and clean and had a totally flat floor throughout, which was appreciated due to mobility issues.Breakfast, however, was essentially a packed meal that contains cereal and milk with no lactose intolerance option, and a Danish and a carton of orange juice, rather than a sit-down meal, not what we expected.The attached dining in the adjacent Inn was plentiful and well prepared and reasonably priced, too. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.
