Vanessa created two gorgeous bridesmaid dresses for my sisters for our wedding. She really took the time to understand what they both were looking for to produce a perfect design and fit.The final products were both beautifully-made and visually stunning, and my sisters were delighted with their respective dresses.

Vanessa created a stunning wedding dress for me and has opened up the world of bespoke garments to me! The process with Vanessa was so smooth that I wanted to share my experience for others interested in having a bespoke garments made for them.Firstly, I contacted Vanessa with some general reference images and she guided me in giving me an approximate costing for the type of dress I was after.In my first meeting with Vanessa, I had a much more developed vision of the design. She took my measurements, guided me as to how the dress might fit my body shape best, and she gave me a quick education in materials! She has a professional, enthusiastic and very warm energy which makes you feel very comfortable in her presence. If like me, you have never been measured or had a fitting done, I can assure you you will be well looked after with Vanessa. I really enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot!The main thing I learnt was that no matter how much guidance Vanessa can give you on materials, you of course have to make the final material choice, so do start to order samples for the garment, including the lining, immediately after your first visit with Vanessa. I left it a bit longer than I should have to order samples and it's really good to give yourself some time to sit with the materials and be sure of your final choice!Next Vanessa made a toile for me, a mock up dress that she adjusted to find my perfect fit. While you are trying on the toile, Vanessa is also thinking about proportions, asks how you feel in the mock up, and makes suggestions on what small adjustments might suit you best.Finally, after a few fittings the dress was made and I took it home to try it on. As I had chosen a thicker material for both outer and lining, we had to rethink the seams a bit and Vanessa made these adjustments for me. The final result was really far better than I could have expected. I felt great in my dress, the seams were so crisp, it was comfortable and so professionally made!One of the main ideas for me was to dye the dress after my wedding, which is my current project, and I'm so happy that Vanessa's great work will live on beyond my wedding day.
