Mediterranean Supermarket

a month agoI feel very fortunate to live in an area where there are supermarket like Mediterranean. It is like entering an Aladins Cave for me. They sell a wide range of Turkish foods, Arabic, including an incredible selection of Olives, spices, fresh vegetables, herbs & loads of frozen foods.Best halal meat / chicken always fresh.Very Clean, great Staff.Strongly Recommended

I give three stars at they have some interesting and good products. However some of the disrespectful comments from staff left me feeling uneasy . The man asked me where I'm from , when I told him the honest truth , he started to be insulting.( I didn't start this personal conversation.) 'He kept going on for a while saying to the effect , you are not really from Edinburgh if the truth can’t be handled best not to make small talk . would never insult someone like this in any country. Maybe train some of the staff better as respect goes along way in business. Normally it’s very good .

This place is literally Ali Baba's cave of treasures. It has a huge variety in spices, herbs, legumes, antipasti, rice, pasta and dry nuts. Also love the exotic tea selection, fresh fruit and frozen food, like spinach pies, boregi and of course their sweets. You have to try the baklava and the barfi! All in amazing quality and good prices! I once arrived right after they had closed for the day and the guy was in his car starting the engine. He asked what I wanted and I explained I really wanted to get 2 bags of lentils. He actually reopened the shop for me and let me buy the lentils. They are truly amazing. The staff is very helpful, kind and they crack jokes too if you are in a mood for a bit of laugh. It is my favourite supermarket in Edinburgh. Thank you for all food guys! What would we do without you?!

This is my favourite place in Edinburgh when I need some spices or exotic food, the guys working here are very nice, and I love browsing among the shelves of this place!

picked up few herbs for this weeks lunches, love this shop! Perfect for herbs & spices

Very friendly guys, I go here mainly for frozen food and meat as we don't cook much Middle Eastern cuisine so I don't buy other stuff much. I have tried meat from many shops in Edinburgh over the years, some in Glasgow & Livingston but I like what this shop offers more than anywhere else. They give you meat that you ask for and not what they want to sell. You may feel price is a bit more but you get good stuff.

I stopped by a few days ago on my way home to buy a few pieces of lemon worth £1+ but I was refused to be served because apparently they only accept card payments for a minimum purchase of £5 and at that time I wasn't carrying any cash.
