The Little Retreat Day Spa
I love this place. I've been twice now for massages and facials. Its a lovely venue and the decor is clean, bright and fun. I've received a massage both times by Paris who is amazing. I've struggled to find a good place to get a massage, but Paris is great. She's made me feel comfortable and she actually asks what pressure/where to focus on etc. Lots of places in my experience don't. I would love to get here more regularly. It truly feels like a luxury spa for reasonable costs. Every visit they give you little refreshments at the end of the treatment which I think is such a lovely touch.I bought my mother-in-law a gift voucher here for her 60th as I know she would like it as well. I know they do afternoon teas/gin parties and I would definitely book to do one at some point.

I received a gift voucher from my husband for a facial and a massage. I booked to have both in one visit but had to reschedule. However there were issues with that as the person failed to reschedule both the facial and massage.I arrived early for my treatments but was taken for the treatment late, to the point I had to check what time it had been scheduled for. The beautian Elise apologised for being late, I was then left to get ready for the treatment but was left for quite some time. After the late start the treatment still finished on time, no time was added but full payment was taken.I had been to the little retreat before the changes and feel that it may not have changed for the better in some respects.

Afraid I don't rate this highly as a relaxing spa.At others I've visited I feel as if time is unimportant and non existent due to its quiet and dark ambience. As the name suggests it is little..so.much so that from the therapy room I could hear the conversation of the people in reception. Hope management takes care of the broken sofa that meant we had nowhere to sit when we arrived and the fire alarm that went off while having my treatment.Therapist apologised profusely but it didn't help me relax any! Feel the public areas are too intrusive and brightly lit to give a relaxing spa atmosphere.Disappointed.

My partner and I moved into our first home over the Christmas period. It's not something I personally recommend. It was a massive rush, and we were both exhausted. So, there is only one viable solution! Now that we're freshly broke. It's the best time to book a massage. So we booked an appointment just after payday and omg it was amazing.Took a minute to find the place, as it was dark, but we walked into a warm and cosy reception. There were some kind of scented humidifiers around that smelled divine, and the receptionist was friendly. We were brought into the waiting area and called through to a room where we could both be massaged. They checked that we were comfortable sharing a room, which we were, but it's nice to know that they check for comfort levels instead of just making assumptions. The masseuse were quick to explain what to do and answered our questions. We haven't had many massages, so we weren't 100% on the protocol. We listened to nature sounds and were left with our own thoughts with the exception of when them checking in on us.After the massage we were brought into their waiting area and given a red tea that I loved, I think it was fruit tea of some variety. But forgot what it was. They also provided salted caramel brownies.Overall, it was a great experience. Will definitely be going again. They got a 'few' knots out of my partners back (my partner works a desk job from home so he had more than a couple) and we were both soo relaxed when we left. I think we both slept like a log that night.

Brilliant. Very relaxed. My daughter and l booked this just to us time.We had and neck back and shoulder massage, didnt want it to stop! Then had afternoon tea, would have liked more choice on the cake selection but there was empty plates by the time we left. Would certainly go again. Maybe for some me time.
