They are personally my parents neighbours and are real nice people. I just want to congratulate them on turning an aweful Take-A-Way into an amazing Take-A-Way. Their food is amazing especially their Chicken Chowmein. Please do NOT change your Chowmein recipe :-). Lovely lovely people and awesome food to boot. DO NOT change what you are doing at this once bad Chinese. You have done great with turning it around and i am happy to return anytime. Keep up the great work :-)PS.. I notice some of these reviews are for the previous owners which i find totally unfair. The previous owners were shocking but these new people are really nice. Some bad reviews are from 3 years ago which wasn't them that are their now.

I made an order for a few Vegan dishes, when I got home I realised I had been given meat dishes. I took it back immediately and explained I was Vegan and I'd been given the wrong food. I waited while the correct dishes were made. (I was not offered a refund for the difference despite the fact the meat dishes were more expensive and I didn't ask as the owner was very put out and wouldn't address me directly). When I got home I realised egg had been added to my rice. A very disappointing experience, what a shame.

Lemon Chicken- Chicken seemed to be like 4 days old, hard as Jerkey (our fork broke, not kidding) with 3 lemon slices on top.Thai green curry- sauce watery. Dish overloaded with mint (not sure if it should be there)King prawns in oyster sauce- meh, no spices at all.Nasi Goring Rice- really nice dish (best out of my ordered food).Rating- Delivery, good.Staff- Really nice guy, friendlyFood- Terrible. Won't be ordering again.

Stale prawn crackers and reheated dry chicken. Food did not taste fresh. I have to say much better other options around Southend it’s the worst Chinese I’ve had in memory.

Went by reviews and thought I'd order from here. What a mistake. The meat pancake roll had no meat, just beansprouts. The chow mein had in egg, which wasnt stated and the vegetable curry was 90% cabbage with no flavour. It's the first take away we've ever ordered that didnt get eaten. So we ended up having sandwiches.I wouldn't recommend here unless you're easily pleased with basic tastebuds and like to waste money.

Lived in area for a while and still haven't found a good chinese take away but First time Ordering from here and literally as I opened the door I could smell it and it smelt so good. Had one issue part of order was wrong i called the restaurant and they apologised and resolved the problem delivered new food and very quickly and I must say all of the food was very tasty and definitely ordering from here again and finally found a good one

I work for the NHS, justeat have put on a 25% offer on their app as a thank you. And sent me a code to use. I put through my order with golden oriental and then they went offline on just eat. Said closed. I phoned and was told on the phone that they are taking too many orders online and wont take a order on just eat, i have accepted that they just dont want to do a 25% discount for nhs works. I have ordered on the just eat app with another chinese takeaway and the code has worked, absolutely no thank you from golden oriental. Stay in stay safe and dont do people orders. Keep your 25%

I found this place recently...As most Chinese are not open on a Tuesday ! Great fresh food cooked to high standard and plentiful . Each dish was Full of flavour ! Fully recommend ..good food.. fast delivery and abide by Covid measures.
