The Grange Group Practice
Dr Kanchan is wonderful and goes beyond what is expected. The surgery are also short staffed and covering a wide catchment area so appointments can be rushed.

This review is based on my last couple of contacts with the practice and I have to say the service is a great deal improved. My last contact was to arrange some inoculations I needed for travel. I'd left it to the last minute but the receptionist fitted me in on the same day. Checking in for the appointment is now automated. The nurse was very pleasant and the appointment went very smoothly. The whole practice feels to be running smoothly and professionally. Very impressed.

Absolutely shocking patient treatment.Supposed to have a phone call doctors appointment I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks for at 3:40pm. Didn’t get a call until 5:05pm, when I answered it she cut it off straight away. I called back at 5:07pm and was told she would ring me straight back. I heard nothing and rang back at 5:45pm to be told I will not be getting an appointment because she had tried to ring me “3 times” and suddenly now my phone number doesn’t work? Even though it worked the first time she rang. More like they was running over an hour and 20 minutes late with appointments and wanted it to look like I’d missed my appointment so they could go home for the night!!!Wouldn’t usually complain about something like this as I’ve been going to this surgery since I was born but unfortunately this isn’t the first time something like this has happened with them over the past couple of years. The patient care has rapidly gone down hill. It’s becoming more negatives than positives these days!

The WORST practice ive encountered, they ordered my medicine incorrectly 8 times, yes 8, they dont reply to your emails and sent me for multiple blood tests one after the other though it could have been done in one test. The place is a no go and a shambles avoid if you can thanks

My partner went to this practice to get bloods taken. Car park is an absolute shambles, cars trying to maneuver everywhere. Receptionists are useless and rude. She was stood at reception waiting for the receptionists to finish with their lovely conversations and giggling and actually do their job. When the receptionist reluctantly returned to her post, she was incredibly rude and weirdly non verbal in her communication with my partner. If you need to go to this place, don't.

Worst experience today with Dr John Hawkswell, this man has zero people skills and talks down you without even listening to why you have the appointment. Took my two year old son to see him today for an ongoing problem with his eye to be patronisingly questioned by Dr Hawkswell ‘what do you want me to do?’ He also told me I should not have made a GP appointment - basically insinuating I was wasting his time and did not apologise when I informed him that it was actually the surgery receptionist who told me I needed the appointment when I asked for advice after showing her a photo. Dr Hawkswell was very rude and condescending from the beginning of the appointment and I would not recommend anybody book to see this man if they value being spoken to like a human being.

Absolutely terrible practice, I have contacted them twice this week about the same issue and both times been sent to 111. Yesterday my patches request was practically ignored meaning that at 4am this morning I was on the phone to 111 who then booked me an appointment with the practice of which I have a text message as evidence. I then spoke to someone at lunch time to confirm the time my appointment would be to be told it was at 2pm. 3:30pm I ring the doctors again as I still haven't had my appointment for them to tell me that no appointment was ever booked and that I would now have to wait until tomorrow for an appointment.This is not the first occasion I have had issues with this practice, I once had to wait over a month for an appointment as it kept getting cancelled.If you want an appointment you had better get a crystal ball so you can see into the future and know weeks in advance of when you are poorly.

Absolutely the worst practice in Huddersfield!With chest pain am waiting over 2 weeks for something to be done! Was told they set up an emergency echocardiogram- waiting 2 weeks! I had to demand blood test! They constantly sending me to a&e , a&e sending me back to gp for further investigation. Its a disgusting circle! And Grange group doctors doesn't care at all!

The Grange Group Practice
I rang practice this AM, and Andrea answered the phone. Very very pleasant lady to speak to. She took very detailed notes about my symptoms, with respect and privacy in mind. As I needed urgent looking at, and no appointments were available till 7 days I explained my history of operations and she went to ask her colleagues and came back with a better response than I'd imagined.Andrea was very well spoken, and excellent service.
