The first impressionn of a good stay is in the welcome. Unfortunately one femalemember of staff has zero experience in a happy welcome! Was it becuasethere were 24 people in our bookin? That had something to do with it id imagine! She booked our whole party in, presented roomtickets and then went on to tell the leaderof the party who was also six months pregnant, that her room wasnt ready! The leader of the party was the first person she spoke to! She then went on to say that check in wasnt until 3pm (this was a 230pm) so i asked her why she checked in 21 people (in our party) and left out 3! including the firstperson that asked her to check in! she then went on to say thst if she wanted, shecould have charged each room ofthe 21 people an extra £10 for early check in? Why didshe not just tell us all that check in wasnt open yet? This is not a one off, she had an issue with our check in last year also! the girl really needs to take a reality check on hereself and the way she deals with customers! It brings the whole hotel down to her level. End of rant.

We once again stayed at this lodge and again it was brilliant. Nice rooms, good service and very friendly staff.Location is spot on as it is right next to the pleasure Beach and other attractions.

Have stayed here several times and never had a problem. Car park is small and its luck if you get a space but plenty alternative parking nearby though. Staff have always been friendly. Rooms are basic but functional for what you need for a short stay. Perfect if visiting the pleasure beach or the Sandcastle water park. Tram stop is a short distance away, as is a large Wetherspoon and the South Pier. Kids eat free at breakfast and is buffet type. Tea and coffee in rooms and plenty of extras to lift as reception. Rooms only cleaned mid stay if requested, I prefer to be left to it. Showers are always great and beds very comfortable.

Single beds are absolutely tiny. Bathroom stinked. Staff member parked their car directly infront of ours, which was in the disabled space. People drinking and smoking weed at 1pm outside. Mirror lights didn't work. Kettle was covered in dirt on the exterior. Had to pay for WiFi £3 for 5mbps (slow) connection. Rooms smell like hospitals. Back door swings open quickly but not fully, would expect more for an Accessible" entrance for pram/wheelchair users. Parking is incredibly tight and difficult to get into. Bath tap was difficult to turn off

We were here Monday 3rd of July to Wednesday 5th. Excellent. Room was clean, it was quiet apart from delivery vans outside on one of the mornings.Come and go as we pleased and when needed the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Brilliant location. Managed to get the parking only just and it was tight. But we did and couldn't fault them. 10/10

The location is great if visiting the pleasure beach theme park which is why we chose the hotel. We stayed one night and it did the job but that’s it really. Room was clean but the shower gel dispenser in the room was empty meaning we had to go and buy some. Water pressure is good in the shower though.Attitude of staff could be improved you’re made to feel like an inconvenience. We needed to ask them something at reception and we’re stood there for nearly 10 minutes waiting for someone. We were enquiring as to whether they had toothpaste that we could buy which they didn’t. So despite advertising on the website that they offer this they in fact don’t.Breakfast is alright, nothing special. You’re told to wait to be seated by a sign outside the restaurant and then a staff member says “sit there if you want” or “these tables are free sit there if you want” not “take a seat anywhere you’d like and help yourselves to breakfast” just don’t think the attitude is right.

Had an excellent stay here, i would like to add that the staff are a credit to the company and went out of their way to accommodate all our needs (Eva was the only name I got unfortunately but the chap behind the bar was great too!). We had a 14month old with us and they sorted a cot and milk for us which made our stay hassle free. It is located just opposite the pleasure beach, it is also a nice stroll to the tower on a nice day. Would like to add that parking under the hotel is very limited as there is probably about 10 spaces and can be a bit tight to manoeuvre. There is a private car park next to hotel. On the whole we would recommend.

No welcome when you walk in,not even a smile from reception staff.Rooms are clean but very basic,no drawers or wardrobe in our family room. The sink plug got stuck shut, when asked at reception a lady was sent up with a hammer&crowbar to hammer it out&was told it always happens!Breakfast was okay.Best thing about this hotel is its location but a serious lack of parking(we had to park at the sandcastle swimming pool for our 3 days). We come to the pleasure beach every year but won't be staying here again.

Decently located near the beach but the room (supposedly family) was far too small and beds were just crammed in. No hair dryer and a tiny TV. The slight positive was the breakfast we had booked. Not a great variety but great service and decent tastes.
