Absolutely surprised by the brilliant friendly service, the delicious foods & drinks. So reasonably priced too. Thank you to our waitress 'katy' who left us to chat & appeared when needed for extra courses or more drinks. A really relaxed enjoyable visit.

After 40 minutes of waiting for a jacket potato, I approached a young female at the bar and raised my concern. She ignored me before serving someone else? When I challenged this behaviour, she started stomping around and raising her voice at me?I work for a construction company who has just won a large contract in the area and was scoping out places for my guys to stay. Never mind.

Very slow service. I honestly think the staff don't care. Ordered a drink that never came. Food was ok. Sat waiting for a dessert for nearly an hour with plates on the table with staff just walking past chasing a butterfly, it seems. I would not recommend it at all.

Arriving at the restaurant I was instantly met by the beautiful smile of a waitress named Sophie who kindly led me to a table which was excellently cleaned and very comfortable. I was promptly served with my drink and meal in around 10 minutes which is very fast considering how little staff there was. The prices were very cheap and the people working there were amazing. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Had a breakfast work meeting, all you eat buffet and hot cooked breakfast unlimited also. Food choices were good and nice atmosphere too. Excellent venue for a meeting

Stayed for a few days and used the restaurant each day. Staff are superb, friendly and on the ball with orders and everywhere is clean and tidy. Many thanks guys.

See to have gone down hill a lot, we went our for the Christmas Festive menu, 3 people and it took 3 hours for 3 courses very slow service and not attentive from the rarely seen staff, I could have expected and understood a wait if it was packed but from what I could tell there was only a handful of tables eating, then when we had finally finished they tried to charge me £75, when it should have been 57, and no not a typo they gave me the receipt to pay it.Definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

I don't visit here very often, but each time I have enjoyed my visits, this time was no exception, the staff were polite and friendly, we met up with friends and sat outside, where there was a nice chilled atmosphere. I would recommend Forest Past to anyone although I cannot comment on the food as I have not sample any of the menu, but some of the meals that went past us did look good.

Went on a family members birthday and although the food itself was reasonable, it appears the quantities have now been reduced quite considerably where as the cost of the meals etc has increased. On this particular occasion I ordered a beef and ale pie with peas and mash.The beef pie had dramatically reduced in size from previous experiences, the quantity of peas similarly reduced and the mash potato, well you might as well not have bothered with the portion size it was so small.In truth I will now not be going here for a meal again, this having been a regular customer for a very long time. This comment was echoed by my 5 family members.

Lovely staff, everyone very friendly and accommodating, polite and well mannered. Food was about average for pub grub I'd say. Don't expect an artisan burger but not bad.
