A & A Walters Funeral Directors (Est. 1850)

I couldn't recommend A&A Walters enough. They did both of my grandparents funerals, and my mothers funeral in 2018. So, when my dad passed away in February this year, they were the obvious choice. I originally called the Tipton office, but they couldn't fit me in for an appointment. On their recommendation, I called Andy Matthews at the Sedgley office. He was incredibly helpful, and guided us through all the steps, and costs involved in making my dads funeral the best it possibly could be. The team on the day were really compationate and polite. All in all, they made us feel like my father's funeral was the unique and dignified send off he deserved. Thank you A&A Walters.

On recommendation, we used AA Walters to take care of the funeral arrangements for a family member (Terry Pearce). The service provided by Andy at the Sedgley branch, and the team at Tipton, was first-rate. Everything was handled very professionally and with courtesy. On the day of the funeral, all went smoothly and seamlessly; we were very pleased with the service given by this well-respected family firm. Highly recommended.

When looking for a local funeral director, I was impressed by the testimonials left for service received from A&A Walters. This was also my experience; Andy Matthews in the Sedgley branch is extremely personable (as was Stephanie when Andy was away) and, right from my phone call on the day I received the terrible news, helped with advice and details at all stages of coping with the experience of bereavement. The firm offered all the options needed for the service we wanted and Mum herself was looked after with great respect. On the day of the service the A&A Walters pallbearers transporting the coffin were very professional and helped make sure everything went to plan, friends and relatives knew where to go etc. Organisation of the service itself, music and programme went extremely well. I was happy to have made the right choice to ensure that Mum's passing was marked the way we wanted.

I can't recommend A&A Walters enough. They have helped my family in organising the funerals of my Grandmother, my Mother and recently my Father. Everyone I spoke to was kind, compassionate and understanding. Andy at Sedgley was my main contact. He made everything easy as possible and everything was perfect. I spoke to the staff at Tipton on the phone and they were helpful also. All of the funerals they have done for us have been the best send offs for our loved ones. As a family we can highly recommend A & A Walters. Their attention to detail is second to none and the respect, patience and professionalism shown by all of the A & A Walters gentlemen on the day of our mom’s funeral (and our dad’s 5 years ago) was absolutely first class. We simply could not have asked for more. Andy Matthews is excellent. His professionalism, kindness and courtesy from our very first visit through to after the funeral has helped to make a very difficult time run smoothly. Definitely a five star service from all concerned.

I cannot recommend this company enough. Andy treated us with dignity and respect and carried out all our wishes with regard to my late husband Stephen's funeral, even the little touches asking whether there was anything we wished to put into the coffin with him. All emails and queries were dealt with straight away and put our mind at ease. The funeral itself ran very smoothly. They arrived early (my husband was never late for an appointment!). The team were very respectful and once again carried the whole event out with dignity and respect. Everyone passed comment on how well the funeral went and part of that was due to this Company.

The service we received from Walters for our Mothers Mary’s funeral was first class. From our first appointment with Andy at the Sedgley office he was kind and understanding made sure everything was well organised. We were confident that we had made the right choice. The staff at the funeral parlour were also very kind and helpful. The funeral went smoothly at the Church and crematorium thanks to the professional funeral directors. The floristry was also exceptional everyone remarked on the stunning red rose floral display. I want to thank Andy at the Sedgley office and all the staff at AA Walters for the caring and sensitive manner in which they helped us give our Mom the best send off that she deserved .My Mom had already got a funeral plan in place with AA Walters .The evening she passed away at home we rang Walters. Andy & Kim arrived within 30 minutes of the call .They were both extremely compassionate with us at this very distressing time .We had a meeting with Andy at the Sedgley Office where he explained everything to us .Showed us what our Mom had chosen in her funeral plan. Which made this difficult time slightly easier .Andy arranged the funeral date/time there and then .Discussed the order of service ,Funeral music & songs .Also arranged a Vicar for us for on the day .We also ordered the coffin spray & family flowers through AA Walters which were perfect for our Mom .Kim and the team at the Chapel of rest at Tipton office , and on the day of the funeral were extremely professional nothing was too much trouble for them .The cars were immaculate .Thank you Andy & Team for your help, support and professionalism during this very difficult time for myself and the family .We can Highly recommend AA Walters family run funeral directors .
