I understand you are not allowed to take your own caravan to the pitch, a tractor takes it from you, also your car is not allowed to say with your caravan, I’m wondering is this Bath Chew Valley caravan Park insurance to move people caravans ?? Thank goodness I have found out about this situation

Cute Bath Chew, beautiful surroundings and pristine campsite with brand new luxury lodges. Adults only. Very friendly staff and other campers, very pretty location with lovely walks around a big lake. Easy access to Bristol & Bath (7 miles & 9 miles).

We stayed at Chew valley in our campers for a few nights and staff were really helpful, our pitch had all the amenities and was all weather, the toilet block was very clean and individual with a toilet, shower and sink. There is also a pub within a 10min walk. Only negatives really are that it’s a £40 each way taxi into Bath so quite a bit out of the way. Also the phone reception is very bad and WiFi will cost you £3 for 24hrs

We just stayed at this site for three nights, they claim it 5 star, it most definitely is Not!!! It’s more like 2 star!! The facilities are terrible, very old and dated , shower curtains, damp smelling, we showered in our motorhome! There is no shop on site, every pitch is jammed in not even room for anyone to park a car next to their caravan. Constant noise of a tractor moving peoples caravans on and off their pitches not not peaceful! And the dog walk! What dog walk it’s a two minute walk not even enough for a rabbit not along a dog! And it says we have a forest walk lol it’s a two minute walk with a few trees! And dogs are not even allowed. We won’t be coming back

Lovely and beautiful spot & friendly staff, ideally located if you fancy a stroll around the Lake.Facilities were very clean and well kept & most pitches looked level.Would be nice though to allow more use of the grass areas though.EDIT/UPDATE(RULES: Awnings, Groundsheets & Windbreaks Awnings and windbreaks may only be used on the gravelled area of your pitch; please do not enclose the grassed areas. Ground cover is fine on the hard standing area.)

Lovely site, extremely well maintained and looked after. The staff are friendly, welcoming and extremely hard working. Shower blocks are lovely and very clean. The area is beautiful with lots to do on your doorstep, with the lake, Bath, Cheddar Gorge and the Seaside all within easy reach. Would recommend a trip to Wells, the smallest City in the country. This was our 2nd trip to this site and we will definitely return.

Spent a week here with friends in our caravans. Very clean site. Adult only. Very quiet site. Bathrooms ( include :toilet shower sink hairdryer) each for individual use and are fabulous .But ,incredibly small dog walk area and must remain on the lead. Lots of places to walk to but dogs still need to be on a lead, the lake is lovely but you can’t actually put a foot in the lake , we had to drive 25 mins to find somewhere for our dogs to run around off lead. With all this in mind it was not ideal for us. If you want a quiet , clean place to set up your caravan /motor home and you don’t require walks to tire your dog out then I suggest this place is for you .

Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Won't answer their phones to take bookings so we drove there since it said they had a 24/7 reception. Upon arrival we kindly asked if it was possible to stay the night as no other campsites were open and they were the only ones with a 24/7 reception. They said it wasn't possible to open the gate but we could wait outside until the morning, we asked them if it was possible to get an extension cord for an EHU. Upon asking they said to stay right where we were and out of nowhere two angry men appeared and threatened us and we should leave immediately. Will definitely not recommend anyone support these practices. Either don't advertise you have a 24/7 reception on your Website or at least have the decency not to threaten your potential guests. In all our years of camping we have never experienced such a rude and quite frightening customer service. Will not recommend.
