Horrible place to take your dog! They don’t do the job properly! Also my dog comes back intoxicated like he has been fed something! Horrible! Never again!

The experience we’ve had at the groomers today was atrocious. My small cockapoo peaches was booked in for 12 and I was told it would be a pick up around 2. Which is what it usually is. They normally call 20 minutes before and when I hadn’t heard from them at 2.15 I called and was told she had been bathed but not cut yet cause people were on lunch. It’s a hot day and my dog has separation anxiety which I have told them before. When I was called to get her for 3 I arrived and she was still being cut and her nails weren’t trimmed. Why would you accept an appointment when you wouldn’t be able to do it? If I had been told they were behind and she would have to wait in one of those small pens for what must have been an hour I would have kept her and come back later. My dog is now extremely stressed and the cut isn’t even good. It’s wonky. And she wouldnt have been squirming so much if she hadn’t of been waiting so long and therefore wouldn’t look so bad. I’m a wimp and although they knew I was really unhappy I paid full price for a bad service. I very much wish I would have refused or asked for a discount. I would say I’ve found it really hit and miss here, there are some great groomers working here and about 50% of the time she comes out looking wonderful and happy. But last time they injured her shaving her bum and it was all scabby and this time they’ve stressed her awfully. There are always appointments available but now I understand that that’s probably cause they take too many and don’t do the job they should. Everyone deserves a good lunch break but not at the expense of my dog. Also, if you can’t manage a rescue dog with separation anxiety and their needs (which is really just not to be left on their own) you shouldn’t accept them as clients.This is the first public negative review I’ve ever made and I think that should show that I’m not the type just to complain for no reason. I’m super disappointed.

I struggled for a long time to find a groomer that could cope with my very difficult to groom Shih Tzu Harry. He was very nervous of groomers and to say hard to handle is an understatement! From the moment Charlie met Harry, I knew he was in professional hands. The staff at the Dog House are so welcoming and clearly love their job and are so patient and caring. Harry learned to love his grooming. Unfortunately he was old and recently passed away, Charlie even kept in touch to see how we are all doing as a family. I don’t think I’ve ever received that amount of care and consideration on a personal level. I honestly don’t think I could recommend this place enough.

Lovely staff, my greyhound is a nervous girl but they took time to make her feel comfortable before attempting anything. I've taken her a few times now, always get some photos of her during the process and she always comes home with a little bandana or bowtie on, which is super cute. Good value for money and great service.

I took my puppy Mabel to the dog house for a puppy bath when she was 14 weeks old her appointment was with Charlie she provided excellent service. I was unsure if Mabel’s nails were too long charlie advised me they needed cutting when I got to the appointment and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed she was very helpful. Mabel had never been to a dog groomers before so I was optimistic how she would get on however the environment of the dog house salon is really lovely and all the staff are so friendly and kind. I felt very comfortable leaving Mabel there it was very clear she was in good hands. When I came to collect Mabel she was so happy and relaxed, she smelt amazing! I will definitely be recommending the dog house and will be returning again soon!
