Rupert Hayes Salon

I like to think I can tell a good from bad salon having worked in the industry. I just moved to Manchester and I had my hair done here a few months ago. I always find it very difficult to find a hair salon that really listens to what you want rather than just doing what they do for everyone like factory work. My hair is very long and often hair dressers get bored and start cutting corners with dying it but they really took their time to do my hair properly to achieve a natural look. They listened to exactly what I wanted in a thorough consultation and executed it perfectly. The staff are also lovely and they provide you with nice drinks and biscuits. Overall I highly recommend this salon.

I'm male and have never been anywhere but standard bloke's barbers before. I'd let my hair grow to a messy curly mop and decided to try a 'proper haircut' for the first time. I wanted something other than my usual 'number 4 on the sides and short on top'.Rupert was excellent and my overall experience was first class. I got sound advice about my hair and I love the way it looks. I was even given a lovely gift at the end of my appointment. Highly recommended.

Utterly amazing as usual. Everyone who works there is lovely, Emma is the best at my hair for me. I have pretty bad anxiety and don't get my hair cut often, but when I go here I am always very happy with the results as they she asks as she is going and checks that I am happy which genuinely takes all the stress out of hair cuts. I drag everyone I know to their salon and will continue to do so. X

Went for a perm consultation. I’m not very knowledgeable about hair but staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. My options were explained to me and I was able to make an informed choice. I felt like that staff wanted the best for my hair and gave great adviceWould defo recommend

Emma gave me possibly the worst haircut and experience I've ever had. I went in for a curly cut with thick long hair and she thinned it beyond belief so now my hair is whispy and straw like.She was fairly steely throughout the cut, making little effort to talk to me of talk me through the process despite me saying I was nervous about the cut as my first curly experience and wanting to learn more. She didn't cut my fringe until I explicitly asked at the last second and she seemed to want to rush me away. I felt like she didn't listen and just wanted to use thinning scissors for absolutely everything.She then styled my hair in the worst way, I left with it not even fully dry and styled horribly lookibg thin and whispy, I lost all my confidence and my hair has never looked worse, I won't ever be coming back which is disappointing because I've been coming for a couple years now, but I can't forgive this terrible cut.

I have always had very short hair and Emma cut it beautifully. However with lockdown hair had obviously grown. I had no idea what I wanted with my hair Emma gave me a curly bob as she said it would suit my now very curly hair. I felt absolutely fabulous after my cut wonderful cut. Highly recommend

Amazing! I was looking for a salon as I was in desperate need of fixing my hair and I had never been to a salon before, I was super nervous and didn’t know what to expect, but I am so glad I come across Rupert Hayes! The salon itself was really inviting and I immediately felt at ease. As for my hairdresser, Auriana, she was absolutely wonderful. She made me feel so comfortable and knew how to fix my hair and make me feel so much more confident about myself! She is really talented in her profession and is a lovely girl, she listened to how I wanted my hair to look and transformed it, i’ve never felt better! Absolutely will be returning, my favourite salon and I know i’ll come out looking and feeling amazing.
