If you're ever looking for a local that serves a great English breakfast, you've come to the right place. Charming village pub with friendly personable service and a relaxed atmosphere. Only ever stopped for the breakfast but it was well worth it, great value too.

We were staying in the village and stopped by this pub for brunch. We received a warm welcome from Caroline behind the bar who quickly showed us the menus and made recommendations for vegetarians. We enjoyed our food which was freshly prepared and the coffee available was great. As others have said, the pub was cosy and comfortable. We felt that Caroline's fantastic service (not just to us, but seeing her with other guests as well) really elevates the Crown to an exceptional and welcoming village pub. Thank you

STOPPED TO CHECK OUT AFTER SEEING LOCAL ADVERTISING AROUND VILLAGE OUTSKIRTS . NOT BEEN IN FOR 20 /25 YEARS , AS SOON AS WALKED IN EVERYONE FRIENDLY STAFF AND CUSTOMERS . ONLY HAD A COFFEE BUT BOOKED FOR GF & HER FAMILY TO VISIT NEXT WKEND FOR SOME LUNCH . TEXT SENT BY CROWN CONFIRMING .WAS TOLD THE BREAKFAST NEEDS TO BE TRIED OUT .EASY TO FIND BY THE CHURCH . ROAD PARKING ONLY UNLESS DISABLED.WILL BE SHOPPING MYSELF AGAIN FOR A BEER NEXT TIME .

This was our first visit after choosing this pub because of the varied and interesting menu. We were not disappointed.The decor was modern but comfortable and immaculatly coordinated throughout.The menu was compact but sufficiently varied to give ample choice for many tastes.We chose three very different dishes, which were all very generous and cooked to perfection - including 'real' mashed potatoes and a tender gammon steak at least half-an-inch thick!The dessert menu looked delicious but on this occasion we all declined and finished with a mug of coffee.We all agreed that it was very good value for money at £13.50 a head.The welcome and service were friendly but professional.Everything was perfect.We shall return.10/10

Wonderful food and great service.My chicken great dish was outstanding while my wife said her burger was divine.We also devoured both of our puds!The Monday-Wednesday wine offer is excellent!It's very COVID safe and we certainly felt safe.Highly recommended!
