Wing Hall Caravan & Camping

Not our first visit to this location but the only time we've left early. Last night's windy conditions left us with a sleepless night and we headed home. We were given a pitch far from anyone else in what seemed like an idyllic location overlooking the countryside. We didn't manage to cook very well as the wind circled around us. So all in all not a successful camping trip. The site itself is pleasant enough and has toilet and shower facilities. The farm shop stocks plenty of provisions for your stay. The cafe restaurant wasn't open last night as it has been in the past. There are stunning views over the valley but it's so much better in the sunshine.

This is my third year at this site.The setting is lovely, the shop and cafe are nice.The facilities, however, are awful.The showers and toilets are falling apart, a whole toilet block out of order. There is a small block of 4 toilets with plastic roofs, at least one of which wasn’t cleaned during our 3 day visit. There is a door hanging off one of the men’s showers and water pours out from one of the pot washing sinks all over your feet. The place needs a complete overhaul and has deteriorated over the last 3 years.Overpriced for a non-electric pitch compared to every other campsite we have used ( and without exception the faculties have been much nicer).Would not recommend, we will not be returning sadly.

A beautiful site ruined by its poor facilities! There are so many good things going on here but the showers and toilets are so awkward to use that I wouldn’t go back. I don’t object to the rustic/open-air idea but there’s literally no mirror and sink in any of the facility areas. You cannot shave if you visit this site. The only hairdryer was broken. There are no changing areas, shelves or benches in the showers so you have to play campsite buckaroo and try to hang every one of your belongings on the hook because the showers soaks the whole floor. The men’s toilets have gaps around the doors through which you can clearly see through when walking past. I’m really disappointed because the café is great, the views and pitches are nice, the farm shop is well stocked and there’s are funny cats and chickens knocking about.

This campsite is lovely. Lots of space and good facilities including a tea room and a farm shop. There was occasionally an issue with a lack of hand-wash near the toilets and the stingers near the tent, but other than that, we all loved it there and will be back!

We've been meaning to camp here for quite a while after recommendations from like minded friends. I'm so glad we finally made it. We had the most perfect weekend camping.If you like a manicured, contrived setting with all mod cons, then this is not the place for you. Stick to glamping. If you want to be loud, disruptive and annoy your fellow campers, again this is not for you. However, if you love a beautiful view, idyllic setting with rustic facilities and lovely people, then this is the place to come. This is what real camping is all about. The facilities are simple but clean. You might have a slight walk depending on where you're sited but happy campers love the outdoors, that's what it's all about. An additional light here and there (by the pot wash and sinks) might be helpful but it all added to the fun. The site shop is great with good quality produce and there is a nice cafe open til late.Wing Hall is a gorgeous, historical building and the owners do a fantastic job. We can't wait to come back and have another perfect, peaceful break.

Just arrived back from yet another Fab stay! Weather was on our side, the ladies who looked after us, we’re very friendly and welcoming, super easy to get settled, fresh new shower and toilet blocks! Very family friendly.. had 2 boys, who had the freedom to explore, and met up With other children, plenty of space to bomb about on bikes..with a big ol tree to climb and tree swing.. (don’t get to see that often)They had a fully stocked shop, with essentials and fresh local meat. The boys even got little treats! ❤️We were recommended this campsiteFrom a friend, and will be our go to, every time we need to escape from reality!Super close to the water park.. and surrounded by lots of village pubs, if you didn’t want to dabble with camp munches!Huge thank you from the knowles family, look forward to our next visit! Lovely campsite. They have an adults only quiet site, and about 4 other fields. Great views. Very close to Kings Arms pub in Wing Village, only 5 mins walk.Hot showers and clean toilets. Plenty of pot wash stations too.Amazing on-site shop with all sorts of good stuff, all great quality. It’s open till 5 but sometimes till 7. The owner works there and she is clearly very proud and passionate.Dogs strictly on leads, they insist and will ask people to leave if not, because the chickens roam free.Great walk to Lyndon or Manton across fields. I’m sure there are more walk but we ran out of time to explore.I like it.

Myself and my other half have just came back from an amazing 4 day weekend,camping on this site.We was unsure to go due to the few bad reviews but we thought why not, we thought the other way the site was brilliant. We was on the chicken field and that was a laugh, along with been pitched up next to 3 lovely families.The down side to the site is the pitch size, they could do with just been abit bigger. If you have children I recommend, the pricing for the nights were £27 including electricity. However, we had paid online for electricity but had to pay again for when we had arrived which really confused us.Yet again, i would recommend ☺️

Excellent campsite. Great facilities including clean showers and toilets. Staff were friendly and the on site bar and restaurant are very good. Sure shop is Brill, artisan food and drink available. One of the best campsites I've been to, hence 5* review.

Such a lovely welcome at reception by Robyn, the owner. Nothing too much trouble and it seems she's always on duty and willing to help.The site has fab and spacious pitches with the facilities all in easy reach. Great cycling from Wing Hall and lovely just chilling in the sun back at base.The shop carries lots of special local produce and the cafe was just what we needed at the end day. Happy, easy, relaxing break.Hope to return, or maybe meet Robyn in Barbados, if she makes it November this year!!!!
