I have only added one star to this review because zero stars are not allowed.Where do I start. From the point we had our gates installed in 2018 until today we have always had to chase. We have now reached a point where we have been ghosted and having handed over money for repair works to be done we are left with no option but to take Colin Bonner to court. Do not use this man as he will never deliver what he promises and definitely do not hand over any money to him.

Great company to deal with, excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship

Do not use this conman, I am also pursuing him & his other business Oakley Fabrications through small claims court. I know I won't see a penny but will be content when he eventually ends up in prison for defrauding a growing list of people.

We called Colin to come and look at securing our site. He turned up on time and was extremely helpful. He spent a full 2 hours with us explaining our options and the best way to keep our yard secure. We then agreed on a very reasonable price and the job was completed on time to a very good standard. Would definitely recommend.

Colin Bonner T/A ECB Automations will take your deposit and not fulfil the order. Multiple people have raised CCJ’s against him, including me. The county court ordered him to repay the £4.6K deposit which he has failed to pay. He has at least £80K in unpaid debt. Another company he owns ‘Oakley Fabrications Limited’ is currently being struck-off the companies house register. He has started another company named ‘Electric Gate Specialists Limited’, but this time under his mothers name. This is an illegal practice. The HMRC and Trading Standards are investigating him.

Now trading as egs (Electric gate systems) previous company Oakley fabrications Scunthorpe, all under different addresses do not give any money reported to trading standards HMRC and fraud squad. Also like others taking this to court.

*DO NOT USE* scam company owned by Colin Bonner, who also owns Oakley Fabrications Ltd. Do not use either company. Colin took a £3500 deposit from us for gates in September 2021. Still no gates, constant excuses, does not turn up to complete work. Currently pursuing a claim through small claims court and reported to trading standards.*UPDATE* we remained persistent and we were sucessful in retrieving all our money back plus costs through high court sheriffs. I would advise everybody else to do the same. Dont let him get away with it!
