DVSA Driving Test Centre

Passed my driving test here today! I couldn’t find any tests in London due to covid and I found a test here just a couple of days before my theory expires and so I booked. Took a few lessons in the area to get familiar with the routes. It’s a quiet area on the weekends and definitely nothing like London so I wasn’t as nervous going into this however it was my 6th test so I was anxious to pass especially since I had travelled all this way. It was also a weekend test so it wasn’t as busy in the test centre which helped my nerves too. I didn’t get the examiner’s name but he was a very nice gentleman and made sure I was comfortable throughout the test. There are a few narrow roads and some hill-y areas so take extra care if doing manual here.

Had a hard start during lock down had many unfair examiners who were just horrible and failed me on any little thing (mainly men). Had another test yesterday and passed, examiners seem different to before! I had a lovely lady who was very fair and made me feel completely comfortable! For the first time I wasnt anxious and I passed with flying colours!

Passed my test 1st time today with only 5 minors under Mike's examination.Lovely man who made me feel at ease.It's not true what they say, they aren't scary people - there just like me and you.If your booking your test in any time soon, my advice would be, treat it as another lesson where your taking someone from A-B and must do so safely. They aren't looking for perfection, just competence.

I had Mike's review today. Unfortunately I ended up messing up on my parallel park and failed the test overall I know where to improve but Mike was a very kind supporting examiner who made me feel less at ease and had general conversations with him.Only thing I can complain really about is how lo g test dates are unsure why though.

The services provided by this testing centre are far superior than those of any other testing centre I've ever visited. Excellent examiners and employees. Examiners are making every effort to pass those who are competent.

I've had two tests here now and the examiners make u feel even more nervous than you already are, as if waiting 3 months for a test isn't enough. They talk down to you and roll their eyes if you make a mistake.

I had an incredibly positive experience with this test centre last week when I passed my practical test. The examiner made the experience genuinely enjoyable and I did not find the test stressful because my examiner ensured that I was comfortable when driving. I hope that whoever is reading this is lucky enough to have the same examiner I did, who was a genuinely nice person. Good luck to anyone taking their test here, drive safely and think ahead.
