This was our second major property extension and having previously worked with another architect whom we originally re employed to draw up plans for this second extension we discovered the plans were nowhere near detailed enough. (according to prospective builders) So I asked for more detail, this led our previous architect to quit via email! I interviewed many potential architects and found Richard was a clear winner. He is very knowledgeable, personable, polite and friendly. (And after my last architect experience, I soon realised that Richard only lived a few streets away) which is very handy for all the questions reputable builders will ask and require an almost instant response as it holds them up apparently.We gave Richard his brief after some pleasant negotiation submitted all relevant documents with no problems at all.The build progressed and Richard even helped check a building error by the builder and supported me when we asked the builder to make the necessary changes.I would use and recommend his services wholeheartedly.(sadly we have run out of space to extend into)

Richard at ARC survey and design worked with us from initial planning right through to the finish build of our new home. We found him to be very knowledable with great foresight to what can be achieved. Highly reccomended.

Richard showed us how we could accomplish what I had thought was a near-impossible job (removing a wall by installing supporting steelwork above) to give us a much more useable lounge space. He produced the drawings, got the calculations done and even suggested builders experienced in this type of job. Result - we now have a lovely contemporary-looking lounge.

As a property developer I've worked with many an architect and to be honest Richards forward thinking and approach to problem solving is second to none.We have worked on projects requiring many changes and Richard take it in his stride nothing being to much hassle.ARC are my no1 choice every time.
