Decent coffee shop with nice atmosphere. Good place to work on a latop at non peak times (afternoon). They do loose leaf tea.

The location is superb and vibe is fantastic! The only problem so far is that even if it's not busy time, I needed to wait over 10 minutes for a latter (ordered twice and it was same experience for both orders). Hopefully it will be improved because Spicer+Cole has got a huge potential!

nice vibe in here, definitely pricier than the other cafes in the area. cappuccino (3.40) was aromatic, a little bitter but smooth tasting

Spicer+Cole at the RWA
Located inside the RWA there is also direct entry from outside. We only had Tea/Coffee and Cake but the food looked fantastic. Nice relaxed atmosphere and very good customer service. Nice to have real leaf tea.

Spicer+Cole at the RWA
This coffeeshop is an integral part of the Royal West of England Academy with an entrance from the main foyer as well as one direct from the street. The café is well located with lovely street views. The menu is much the same as other Spicer and Cole shops in Bristol with fresh salads, brunch and pastries and great coffee. There are level access toilets and an entry ramp. The art gallery is well worth a visit too - though be aware that there is an entry charge.

The guy making coffee today is excellent. A lot of care and attention put into his craft and made what might be the best takeaway coffee I’ve had! Service is a bit slow in general but I think they’re understaffed.

Spicer+Cole at the RWA
Seemed airy and inviting on a bright October afternoon, but disappointing in a number of respects: the staff could not identify dairy free options with any confidence, the mint tea we ordered arrived as English breakfast and when the correct order did arrive, a poor tea strainer left us trying to avoid bits of tea in the mug. As others have reported, the cappuccino was ok but the coffee quite bitter tasting. Don’t think we’ll be back.

(Update, Dec 2022: map pointer is now correct – it’s in the RWA building, front left when you cross Whiteladies Road at the zebra crossing. Google did eventually accept our correction and update the map)They do epic pastries and sandwiches, it’s a little pricier than your usual coffee shop but it’s a classy place to meet and eat. And when you order e.g. a quiche it comes with plate of salad which is superb.

Lovely cafe, really nice lunches, quiches, salads, soup, cakes. Nice crockery. Spice and cole are a thoughtful cafe company. It felt a little bit crowded as people stood close to tables to wait for a table to become free. Maybe with one or two less tables (my seat was in the way of a door) and space to wait it would be absolutely perfect.
