Thrifty Car and Van Rental Cardiff

This Car Rental Company is TERRIBLE!!If you pay by Card they put extra charges without question.Their service is unprofessional like others say.They're looking to scam you and take your money rather than provide a good service. A simple £30 rental ended up costing me £160.I'd rather pay extra to use a different company from now on...or just catch a bus or train.This Company isn't worth the stress or there rates they charge!

Really recommend!Having had previous stresses with a different Thrifty branch I was a little hesitant & wary.There was no need. I called earlier in the day to extend my van hire a few hours earlier - absolutely no issue for them. The pre-rental vehicle checks were really thorough & gave me the confidence that I wouldn’t get stung for any damage.Van itself was great, easy to drive & well maintained.Had to return it an hour late - again I called & staff were nothing but helpful & accommodating.Returning the van was simple.Definitely recommend this branch & the staff were lovely.Only downside is no on-site parking & I didn't love having to leave my car round the corner on the industrial estate.

Thrifty are awesome I use them regularly, business and leisure, and always get exceptional service. Polite, professional staff and excellent rates. Vehicles are always clean. Service is second to none compared to many other rental companies in the city and over the years I have used them all.Thrifty is my number one choice every time

Best cars and great service... But be sure of getting all the possible documents there...

I hired a car from thrifty in Sheffield. 26-6-19 to get me n the missus back to Cardiff. Delivered it to the Cardiff depot, hadfield rd, on 27-6-19. I can't fault any of the staff. So helpfull & friendly. Excellent customer service. If you ever need to hire a car. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.BRILLIANTTHANK YOU THRIFTY.KEITH.

Great customer service had a hire care through insurance . The girls were very helpful kept me informed all along the process and the guy dropping the car off was very cheerful and polite would highly recommend this branch of Thriffty

Great service and vehicle was perfect. Better than I expected to be honest. Also they were a lot cheaper than all other providers in the area for the same vehicle. Would recommend and happily return in the future. Only downside is not much parking out the front and made it a bit difficult to return the car. Bit not a major issue.

Had a terrible experience when I collected the car!!! The receptionist staff r helpless they don't even know what's 'Thrifty customer' wifi password!! If u have wifi for customer u gotta know the password or else cancel the wifi net work since it's useless. I haven't brought a copy of flight details so they asked me to email it in order to collect the car, therefore i askes for thrifty customer wifi password and the receptionist lady said she doesn't know and no one of the Thrift /Dollar team knows the wifi password!!!! This is very terrible experience. I had to walk about a mile back n forth to the nearest Macdonalds where i can easily use the wifi and send my flight ticket details. Such a horrible experience and Receptionist staff :( will never rent again from thrifty or dollar again

I hire a car frequently from cardiff city branch. I would like to mention and thank their staff Miss. Jessy. She is enthusiastic, very friendly and very helpful. My best experience is when I am served by her when picking up the car or dropping it off. If I was an employer I wouldn't find a better employee than her. Also, as a customer, I wouldn't wish for a nicer staff.

Absolutely terrible service. Took my details wrong, never changed them even though they were informed on 4 occasions the name they had was not my name. Was given a car that smelled like cigarettes. Spoken to disgustingly by the receptionist. She even put the phone down on me after a dispute. Told me they were taking money from my account but took more money than they stated. Would avoid using this company..
