Optegra - Laser Eye Surgery & Cataract Surgery Hampshire

I had SMILE laser eye surgery done here 2 years ago and I've gone from being very short sighted (-7.5, -8) to perfect sight. I have no side effects at now, my eyes were dry for the first month but they're fine now. Very pleased indeed!

I was referred by my optician to Optegra and was seen for tests on 31st Oct. I was told I needed cataract surgery for my left eye and they would contact me in 3-4 weeks with a date for my op. By the time I arrived back home (20 mins) they had called me and said they could do the op on 4th Nov!!! To anyone apprehensive about the procedure, don't worry - you are in expert hands. A big shout out to the pre-op team who explained everything and answered any questions. The girls were very reassuring.

I visited Optegra at Whiteley in May to attend a public briefing by Mr Morris. His presentation with a question and answer session was excellent and very informative.Following his presentation I attended Optegra to have Natural Lens Replacement in June 2016.I cannot praise Mr Morris and ALL the staff high enough. They were all extremely helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They really did an excellent job and made me feel completely at ease. The facilities at the hospital are first class . Mr Morris carried out the surgery on both eyes a week apart.The operations were a complete success, I now do not need glasses at all, (except for drinking!!)

Excellent from start to finish. I was going to have multi-lens replacement before seeing William at Optegra and was told that multi-lens was not the best solution for my eyes. I was advised to have laser surgery, and I am impressed with my vision. The service is superb. I would highly recommend it. Quick recovery and being able to see clearly again is fantastic.

Really pleased with the service and the procedure. 48 hours after surgery my eye was all clear and vision back to as it was before the cataract developed .I had no discomfort after surgery. A special mention for the staff in the pre op section, what a lovely group of ladies.

Received 2 letters regarding operation, Iarrived on due date to be told that first letter had been cancelled and second letter was correct. No note on letter saying this. Pleasant staff got it sorted so that I did not have to travel another 30 miles to get there again for pre-op appointment. Operation ok. After a few days I received a letter from surgeon Mr Gupta showing the 3 types of medication I had been sent home with. WRONG, only received 2 medication. I am concerned that my post op treatment may not be complete without the extra medication. Art no time was I told when I could resume using my contact lenses . I only had 1 eye operated on. Mr Gupt the surgeon excellent job, administration 0 out of 10.

Conducted phone interview & told about current medication & past medical history including anaphylactic shock over 12 years ago. Attended pre op. Had all tests & repeated all medical questions including previous anaphylactic shock. Attended for operation on eye. All pre op routines carried out including drops in my eye. Just about to go into room for surgery & staff stopped any further treatment due to anaphylactic history. I understand why but I do not understand why the company didn’t stop any further consultation etc after my first interview. I now have worse sight in that eye & have no idea what to do next as they discharged me & saw me off the premises. A good friend used two days of his annual holiday to take me. Will probably have to give up driving due to damage incurred after administration of eye drops.

Excellent service, staff could not have been more professional and caring. Had both eyes done with new variable vision lenses due to cataracts. Rob Morris was my surgeon and gave me reassurance from my first visit to my last final check up. Eyes so much better, took two/three weeks to get perfect vision. Would highly recommend to all.

I chose to go with Optegra as I felt the level of service was far superior than any of their competitors. Very professional level of care from the first consultation through to the actual surgery and the final eye examination on completion. Been nearly a year since I had laser surgery done, I'm so glad I went for it and glad I chose Optegra, it really has changed my life!!
