To say that I am furious is an understatement, the service that I have just received leaves a lot to be desired. I called in to purchase a bottle of grenadine along with a few other items and was refused sale of it, even though it is alcohol free,I was asked for ID, which I provided, however I was with my younger brother, so the assistant refused to sell me it, Why we both need ID to buy a bottle of syrup is absolutely beyond my comprehension.

Why do Tesco extra at Sunderland think its acceptable to have 1 check out open for 11 customers waiting to be served with full baskets and trolleys queuing up the aisles?I asked 3 separate Tesco staff to open another till and they all refused and went back to their conversation !Obviously serving customers is not on their Job description any more ! Asked to speak to the Duty manager and was fobbed off they were busy in a meeting, another Tesco employee who thinks selling items and looking after customers is optional.Well Sunderland has plenty of Supermarkets and Tesco can find out the hard way that customers will easily find a better alternative to them. Don't cry when you all lose your jobs.

A level 1 store rather than a ground level one is less favourable but otherwise the store was fine and spacious. Not busy at 8 pm on a saturday here. Same prices as everywhere else in the country.

I am disabled, when I come shopping once a week I use your mobility scooter! You have 2, one has. been out of order since October last year! The scooter you have is never charged enough It goes in circles on the flat, not up and down so limited taxation on your batteries but usually at as a pancake! Please correct this as soon as possible otherwise I shall be forced to shop elsewhere! Your staff are great but the equipment is letting you down!

I do 90% of my groceries shopping at this store. If you can't handle the crowd, it is recommended you attend around 8pm weekdays.

This store has a lovely cafe and a great clothes selection but it really needs to sort out the trolley situation, we have been several times lately and haven't been able to get atrolley, we weren't the only ones having this problem too. Several people just left, we went for a coffee and it wasn't that busy so I don't know why there's was a problem. More trollies or lose customers!!

Huge place. Lots of products. Good quality food and kitchenwere. Large parking under it. Not far from city centre. Very good prices. Easy access by bus. Not far from Metro station

Sunday. Match day,for Sunderland. Tesco. When fans left and shop was quite I went to Tescos Cafe for Tea and coffee. This was served in card board cups. Adding to land fill, I guess.Also told 25min wait for scrambled eggs. Decided to go for toasted re-take. Told 25min wait for that as well, RIDICULOUS ".No forward planning."
