Really nice (comparing to Premier Inn). Friendly staff. Very clean. My room had fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Bathroom was lovely. Bed comfy. No breakfast, but I knew that in advance cos I read the brochure, and bought an instant porridge with me. Extremely good for the price.

The night staff and day staff are very polite and they help u as much as they can and they help u if they can I get on with everyone the night staff can have a laght and a joke and most hotels don't they seem miserable so I do recommend city loge hotel their beds are nice and comfy and u got a lovely rooms with TV and kettle microwave and fridge life of lucksary

Where do I start?! Awful hotel. They still book us on the 3rd floor with a broken lift even tho we let them know my mum is disabled! We complained and was moved only to find a double bed, we booked a twin room originally. We complained again and was finally moved into an appropriate room. The room was INCREDIBLY dirty. Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t hire it to a party of rats. The hallways had the strongest small of smoke and stale wee. Mould, cobwebs, stains everywhere. Avoid at all cost!!

I have stayed here at least three night a week for the last few months and I have had top class service. The covid restrictions were well enforced but very manageable. This is a 2 star establishment but, they punch well above their weight. Thank you.

Visited for an overnight stop for work within walking distance of Wakefield Westgate. This place does that at a reasonable price (sub £70). As stated on other reviews there are a number of homeless guests so there is a feel of a hostel, reinforced by full time security based in what would have been the public areas.Positives are that the staff and security are on the ball and deal with potential issues quickly. Building is ex-Travellodge so cheap and cheerful but functional.Negatives are the lift which seems to have been out for months, occasional noisy neighbours and tired decor.Taken in the round it met exactly what I was looking for in terms of location and cost, and where there was noise it was not significant and probably less than party groups.Would I bring my family? Probably not.Would I have a romantic weekend? Probably not.Would I choose again for an overnight work stop? Probably.

Awful place not really a hotel it is a hostel for the homeless. Do not book this as a hotel and expect to get hotel service or facilities.

Booked a double accessible room which I found to be very spacious, clean and modern. It had a microwave/fridge/tea making facilities and crockery which was handy but a tiny detail would be for the hotel to provide artificial sweeteners! There is a hairdryer on the wall, a full length mirror and plenty of sockets: all essential for a comfortable stay.. The interior of the hotel is much better than the exterior would indicate. The staff were friendly and helpful but I aarrival a group of customers had some issues with their booking and what I took from their lengthy interaction is that handover between morning/evening staff needs to be improved. I think it's a good bargain priced hotel in a handy location that I would return to without a doubt.

It's in the centre of town and It's like a Travelodge.What's there to say really.It's what you'd expect tbh, clean modern rooms, staff are nice, 24hr reception and and 2 security guards 24/7 give piece of mind (so losing keys or leaving items like laptop etc in your room help make your stay worry free)Good value for money

Got upgraded again! I really like this hotel, it's cheap and cheerful just like Wakefield! I thoroughly recommend booking your stay here for the shower alone! The room is clean and comfortable, had a great sleep.

Very rough! Used as temporary accommodation for Wakefield council! Very loud and foul language! Alot of people drunk, high or both! The area is also rough! Has zero tourist attraction! Do not book to stay here its hell on earth!
