Glenn Griffith Quality Butcher & Deli

I have been a customer here for a couple of years. All the products I have purchased are of an excellent quality. The marinade chicken skewers are amazing. The staff are always friendly.

Just what a family butchers should be. Excellent choice of meat and offal, cold meats, pies, etc if you order you can also get duck, venison and a great selection of fish. Open 6 days a week but only for orders on Fri/ SatHighly recommended and you won't get a friendlier welcome anywhere

My favourite butchers and now recently favourite deli. Absolutely amazing produce from both shops with equally amazing staff. Glenn has taken it the next level recently and you’d be a fool not to give it a visit. Keep up the good work guys !

Fantastic butchers the best quality and so helpful, and now a fantastic deli aswell called in this morning with my dad and we were spoilt for choice, bacon baps won the best thank you

Travelled from afar to Sue and Shaun’s Party. We so enjoyed the evening. As for the food provided by Glenn Griffith Butcher Dinas Powys, it was AMAZING! The best hog roast pork we have ever tasted and as for the crackling we asked how they cooked it so deliciously crispy. Went back for more. The guys were lovely.Any mean minded person giving a bad review, after accepting a kind invitation, is a thoroughly rude, ungrateful, self centred Madam. Please ignore the comments from her. I just wished I lived nearer to this amazing Butcher. Well done lads!

The coffee in here is excellent. Son says his sausage bap is very good (this is the equivalent of superb" in pre-teen language). Staff are super friendly. Highly recommend."

Mark Griffiths butchersWill I be returning as a repeat customer, “big time”.A little about myself and my reason for first shopping at MG’s butchers. We live a little way away from the town of Dinas Powys and our reason behind this journey was the main table event. the Christmas turkey. We are traditionalist who normally purchase our Pembrokeshire turkey crown from M&S. but for reason that only the stores of M&S can explain, our choice of turkey had been discontinued. After a google search, Mark Griffiths the butchers were taking orders for our choice of turkey. “Christmas saved”.Yes, the Turkey was full of flavour, yes all that I had ordered was ready including the full flavoured chestnut stuffing & pigs in blanket. Yes, MG being very popular, we had to queue for a short time but to the credit of those who queued behind and in front, not one person complained, and we mainly focus on putting the world to right.Eventually it was my turn to step over the threshold & enter the shop. Now we come to the crux of my review. A flustered mature lady aided by her walking stick who was very apologetic explained that her Christmas delivery had not arrived and asked if it was ok if she could pop onto the shop ahead of myself to ask the MG staff when her Christmas order would be delivered (23/12/2022 was the shops last open day prior to Christmas). An overwhelming yes by me and those behind myself.The flustered mature lady who was aided by her walking stick and as true to her word asked a member of the staff about her delivery, but unfortunately for the Lady, she had not requested a delivery, but she was put at ease and told that her order would be made up for her. The lady promptly thanked the member of staff, and as she was about to depart the shop and take her place in the queue when she was called back. The member of staff smiled and asked the lady to wait as her order would only take 5 minutes to prepare. The lady mentioned to the member of staff “that she had jumped the queue and was willing to take her turn”. Thankfully no one objectedNot only did that member of staff show such kindness and understandings to the lady's concerns by putting her at ease, but also showing such kindness & respect for her maturing years by carrying the order to her car.When my turn came, I found those very same members of staff even though they were extremely busy, warm, welcoming, professional and helpful.Thank youJohn .
