Loch Ness Riding - Experienced riders only!

I wish I could give far more stars! Absolutely amazing and unique experience for a rider from the States! Candy and her team were absolutely fabulous, from answering all of my many many emails filled with my questions and indecisive thoughts, to a wonderful trail ride, to even getting onto the cab company that was quite rude to me. I chose an all day ride and it was quite worth it. The landscape, trails, and views were magnificent and unforgettable.The horses are gorgeous and well worked, which is why Candy is particular about who rides her horses. The horses are classically trained and very responsive to the rider, which is why it is imperative that clients are experienced in the style. Experience in Western riding will not help you and it is Candy's prerogative to turn away riders who are not similarly trained.Any rider who has worked with a coach will be able to recognize the years of experience and wisdom Candy has and would be wise to remember any advice or corrections she offers. When I come back to Scotland, I plan to pop in again for another hack, or maybe even a lesson if possible, and I greatly look forward to it!

Candy is kind and thoughtful. Her horses represent beauty and discipline. Lovely yard. For those that are experienced riders and would like to see the Highlands of Scotland in all its glory..... this is the place. Superb time xxx nothing to fault whatsoever. Had such a nice time riding at Loch Ness! I will say, as an experienced rider but not someone who lessons frequently, I would have benefited from taking a few lessons before doing a 3 hour hack but Candy was super helpful and happy to provide feedback to ensure a great ride and a happy horse. Candy’s horses are friendly and very well cared for but do know they are not your run of the mill trail / school horses like you find in the US - so come prepared to be on your game as you ride through the stunning views of the highlands and experience wonderful terrain!

Had a lovely ride out on Cruz this week whilst on holiday… the views were incredible (see pictures) and Julie was wonderful, friendly and really experienced. Cruz was lovely to ride - forward and energetic. I can absolutely understand why they ask for experienced riders only - the horses are brilliantly trained and fun… you have to ride them - you can’t be a passenger. it wouldn’t be right for the horse or rider if you’re a novice.If you are experienced then I would highly recommend! I’ll certainly be back next holiday. Thank you for a fantastic morning of riding ☺️

My daughter Kaia and I rode with Candy for 2 days and had a wonderful time. The scenery is spectacular and there are miles of trails so a lot of variety! I rode Cruz on the first day and Frank on the second, and Kaia rode Clyde and Samir - all four horses were good tempered and quite fit, very well-trained and lots of fun to ride. It’s clear she takes excellent care of all of the horses and the stables and yard are very clean and well kept. We did a 2 hour hack on the first day and 3 hours on the second day, ranging from forest to lakeside. I would highly recommend it - but do pay attention to her note about experienced riders only, the horses are far from sleepy trail ride horses! I definitely hope to return!

Amazing ride on gorgeous well-trained horses. I very much enjoyed the two our ride across the beautiful countryside. The place is very nice and clean. Well kept equipment can be rented as well.

My friend and i had the most fabulous 3 hour hack today with Candy! The horses were amazing - so much fun, and a bit challenging, which is awesome for an experienced rider! This was my fourth visit to ride with Candy, and it did not disappoint! Can’t wait to come back next year! 10 out of 10!!!!!

We had a really good time hacking, with Candy as our guide. My family and I went on a 3 hour ride, which had beautiful scenery! I got to ride the very lovely Al, a french arab horse. If you are an experienced rider and are looking for a place to ride, I would definitely recommend going here.

Had a very great time at Loch Ness Riding. Pleasant people, very friendly guide and very well behaved and trained horses. You can tell that a lot of time and dedication is put into their training and they are well cared for. The scenery is just astonishing! Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent ride. Be prepared to do lots of hacking, enjoy some lovely scenery, and ride some well schooled horses. One of my best riding experiences. Highly recommend
