Newlands Car and Classic

I have a Mk2 Jaguar which developed a power steering fault and carburettor fault. My usual classic car repairer could not deal with it immediately so I found Mark at Newlands and was immediately impressed with his knowledge and experience. He fixed both faults very quickly.The carburettor fault had eluded two previous attempts by others, but Mark fixed it!It was a good experience to work with these people and I shall certainly be using them for future work on the car.May 2023This week my Jag had a new problem, with fuel starvation this time. Again Mark quickly identified the problem and cleaned the entire system and put the car back into great shape. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough.

Amazing local business. Mark has an incredible extent of knowledge and a fine eye for detail. If you want your classic to be looked after as well as you would at home then I would highly recommend Newlands car and classic.

I was looking for an 'honest' mechanic as had just spent a fortune on my Volvo and it was running worse than ever to the point of me looking to buy another then a friend referred me to Mark at Newlands. What a nice guy. He and his team totally went through my car with a fine tooth comb and found exactly what was going on with it and repaired, serviced and MOT'd it. I first tried Newlands for a full service and mot because they were much closer to me than my previous garage. Two months on and my elderly car continues to run smoothly. Customer care is friendly. It's easy to park there. Price is very good, and to cap it off, I turned up unannounced with a concern about pot hole induced loss of tyre pressure, and it was sorted immediately.

Fantastic service and very fast. Super grateful for such an honest and fast mechanic so near to my house.

If you could give 6 stars I would, Mark has transformed my classic Mini - there isn't anything he doesn't know about cars and bikes, new and old. Hugely professional, responsive, helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Mark and Adam and their team are very knowledgeable and highly professional.They have done a fantastic job in restoring and upgrading my porsche 944 that had been neglected for many years.I have used their services many times and it's well worth the trip over from Brighton.Always very friendly and their knowledge of classics is second to none.Just some of the work carried out includes engine rebuild, bespoke suspension, throttle body and ecu conversion and complete mechanical overhaul.Highly recommended safe hands for you classic.
