Bar + Block Steakhouse Edinburgh
We were down in Edinburgh for the day and wanted to have dinner before our train home. I have always liked Premier Inn restaurants so decided to book Bar + Block which I recommend doing as they can be fully booked at weekends. It is located in the heart of Edinburgh on Princes St and is really vibrant and modern with an upper class vibe.Once we were seated our waiter took across complimentary water & beef popcorn which was a nice addition whilst we browsed the menu. He didn't seem all that friendly when he was taking our order and once it was placed had to chase up our drinks order 30mins later. We waited just over hour for three burgers which I felt was quite long despite seeing other tables coming in after us being served. Our burgers were good, proper butcher style patties but I did feel they needed to make the portion larger for a £16+ burger, whether it include onion rings or something like that. We also ordered the beef burnt ends but found they were luke warm and in a very small portion for the £6.50 price tag.It was our first time trying Bar + Block and we weren't blown away for it being a high-end restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh. It might just of been our first experience and it being a Saturday night but will be wary when booking again.

A wonderful place to have a meal in a pleasant environment.Staying at the Premier In hotel, had breakfast at their place for a few days. The food was delicious, the service good and the price modest.The restaurant looks good, it is clean and well arranged.The staff is kind, friendly and nice.When we wanted to have dinner on the last day, we understood that it was already late as the working hours were until 10:30.They have a wonderful view of Princes Street, Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle. I took some photos but couldn't find them to attach to the review.Recommend with confidence.

The food here was exceptional as was the service. The steak was prepared just the way I asked. The beef dripping chunky chips were tasty and crispy on the outside with a soft centre. The butter chicken wings were good, the Crispy beef starter was exceptional though, would 100% reccomend it. The portion sizes are excellent and though its expensive it is well worth it.

Just wow. Our server Dylan was fantastic, very happy, checked in on us and even noticed we were trying to take a pic so took one for us.The steak was amazing and cooked to request Highly recommend the eye fillet. The local steak sauce was a bit vinegary for me but that's personal preference.Prices for the food and drink was very reasonable for the high quality. There was lots of staff and it was very busy but got fed in a reasonable time.

Excellent food & service here. The variety of starters was great, beef burnt ends and mac & cheese balls were simply incredible. Sirlion Steak main was very good. The chocolate brownie dessert was fantastic also. Great service, highly recommended.

Bar + Block Steakhouse Edinburgh
The food , was tasty however they have not enough staff , what I notice they do have a sections and when you need something you need to look for a member of staff.The plaice is located on Main Street of Edinburgh and can get very busy , you can tell the staff working hard however the view on the bar with all those empty glasses.You would expected be more cozy specially for the price you pay.

We really loved our experience here. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel very welcomed. We were provided with complimentary steak flavoured popcorn which was delicious. All three of us had the steak and although it took a little longer than expected to come out, when it arrived it was delicious!!! The cocktails were also amazing. Would definitely recommend and would go back.

* Reception: 10/10, very friendly people, some bilingual, they make you feel at home.* Restaurant 10/10, quiet atmosphere, I would not consider it family-friendly (+15 years old), but for any type of person who wants to take a break and escape from reality since it is an environment that gives you a lot of peace.* Attention: 10/10 they assign you a waiter who will guide you throughout the experience both with the menu and recommendations that you ask for, they are very attentive to each of the clients.• Drink: 10/10 when arriving water with a bowl of popcorn to entertain while ordering, at the end of a large variety, order a Pinot Grigio Blush from Novita, fruity with berries, the truth is coincidentally the perfect combination with the food what to order (although I could use a red wine with the Picanha, a 10/10 anyway)*Meal:* Part 1 Starter: 09/10 They are delicious, in my case I ordered hallumi fries, baji onions and prawns; All very delicious, it combines one with an intense flavor that, despite the preparation, continues with the essence of its original flavor.* Note: I hadn't tried the yogurt sauce in years that was 100% essence of its roots, the prawn was cooked to perfection and with a touch of lemon even better, the hallumis were divine.* Main course: 10/10 8oz Picanha, medium cooked served with potatoes. A proper cut, preparation and softness of the meat, medium-rare potatoes and proper cooking* Dessert: 10/10 affrogato, a glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and an espresso on the side, a perfect dessert since it is light and delicious in my opinion.* Personal Waiter: His name is AMOS, born in Spain and half British, he has been here for 2 years and it is his first job since he has been there for years but he is a super friendly person who makes you feel at home and well cared for, 100/ 10 of the best employees I have ever worked with.
