Harry Haddocks Fish & Chip Shop
This chippy seems to do a good trade locally and has a food hygiene top tier rating of five stars. I have always enjoyed the fish and chips, only once finding it below par when I went in late and the kebab meat had been resting in a warm tray leaving the chicken meat hard around the edges. Apart from this minor gripe the chips are always coming fresh out of the fryer when I go in and the fried fish in particular is the best I have had locally. Give this place a go instead of your usual chippy. You will find it very good.

Been going here so much they know my order off by heart. The food is consistently fantastic. Customer service is always top notch. I've never got food poisoning from here (I've probably been over 80 times now!!) I usually get large chicken and chips and other stuff. Me and my mrs eat like king/queen for less than a tenner. I'm not a big fish fan but I did have it a couple times and it was actually very very good. I just love my usual meal too much. It is very well priced. I remember living over in balsall common, the chippy over there was 50% more expensive and the food not as good! Here they are a family business and the staff there have been there for a while too and are just honest decent people. A really great chippy.

Take our grandchildren here on a regular basis for a treat. They can all choose what they want to eat. Wide selection of options. Friendly and efficient service. Full stomachs and brownie points earned.

Ordered delivery from here tonight, portion sizes were great however the food wasn't to our liking, this is possibly because we ordered late in the day. It may be better fresher or maybe it just isn't for us.

Fish and chips ain't the same these days. When I was a kid, i went the chippy with my Dad. The fish was thick white flakes with thin batter, the chips weren't dry and tasteless like today. Well if you want quality, and I mean quality fish and chips!! The way fish and chips used to be, how they should be. Not this thick soggy batter with hardly any fish and the fish you do get is grey and tastes like something caught out of Coventry canal. If you want beautiful golden thin batter, white chunky fish, with beautiful chips, crispy on the outside and soft moist potato on the inside. If you are looking for the best fish and chips, not just in Coventry, but I think the west Midlands and behind!! Harry Haddocks is the spot! Fantastic friendly staff, coupled with fantastic food. Don't waste your money on other chippies, get down to Harry's and be amazed!!!! You won't be disappointed...

Me, my mum and dad went here today. To get a treat for lunch for them. We ordered a small fish and chips and a pasty and chips and a small chips.We had to wait a long time. We originally were told 5 minutes ,5 minutes later it will be five minutes. There was no que. Two people came in a were served infornt. Which is ok but I believe one had a small fish and chips. Which is what I thought we were waiting for. Then when we got our food and got home the pasty looked really unappetising. Bit soggy looking my mother wouldn't eat it. I usually speak to the owner of the business first before leaving a not good review unfortunately I don't feel this will make a difference. Sorry but have to review 3 stars.
